Ricky Skaggs - How Mountain Girls Can Love Lyrics

Get down boys, go back home
Back to the girl you love
Treat her right never wrong
How mountain gals can love.

Ridin' the night in the high cold wind
On the trail of the old lonesome pine
Thinkin' of you, baby, feelin' so blue
Wonderin' why I left you behind.

Get down boys, go back home
Back to the girl you love
Treat her right never wrong
How mountain gals can love.

Remember the night we strolled down the lane
Our hearts were gay and happy then
You whispered to me as I held you close
We hoped the night would never end.

Get down boys, go back home
Back to the girl you love
Treat her right never wrong
How mountain gals can love.

Get down boys, go back home
Back to the girl you love
Treat her right never wrong
How mountain gals can love...

Cody’s guitar break a jaw dropping. Never the exact same twice. I’ve seen several versions; always interesting, but Holy Cow, this one is my favorite. I’m guessing intense Hammer ons and pull offs play a critical part in the speed and overall delivery, but I can’t come remotely close, even playing half speed. God reached down and touched that guy!

  2. Valance Bohm

    Best song ever

  3. Jeff Tilley

3 minute song and the camera gives us 2 seconds of Jim Mills, the banjo player! Sheesh !

    alan4sure

That's what happens when the cameraman is clueless and can't figure out which instrument is soloing. In other words, he has NO musical ability at all. I see that a lot in youtube vids.

    lyle miller

Jim Mills the best not flamboyant but very solid and exactly why Ricky chooses him

  4. Elliot Portner

I have seen Ricky so often and it always takes me to another world. He is coming to St Louis in 3 months and I can not wait. I followed him for his whole life

  5. Jonathan Hankins

That is the standard for bluegrass groups now and they are setting a high bar

Man, Jim's sure puts a lot of drive in there. Other than Earl Scruggs, one of the best banjo pickers around.

    Gary Kaufman

It sure took the camera a long time to show Jim Mills banjo, since it figures-in prominent! sheesh!

@theberbness - i agree, he is probably a really good guitar player, but he has no soul when he plays

  11. Eddie The guy in yellow

    Glad you like my Technique!

Que pasa con el cámara no le gusta el Sr. Jim Mill?
