Richard, Cliff - She's Gone Lyrics

I’ve been waitin’ here for you since nine
I get sick ‘cause waitin’ normal time
I know you went and treatin’ me like you should
I guess some gonna leave for good

The tickets I bought for the show tonight
Ain’t no use because you’re not in sight
I wonder what for guy you’re cheatin’ now?
I’ll find him and warn him somehow
But she’s gone

Well, if you want me you can chase me ‘round
For you know all the places where I’m found
I don’t care if I never hear from you
I guess you’ll never ever be true
But she’s gone

But she’s gone, but she’s gone
But she’s gone, but she’s gone

  3. F.... P....

    I'm very sat

  4. O.... S....

Jet Harris together with Hank B. were The Sadows matchless in their day and this song still is fresh and lean

  5. W.... H....

I was just 16 when I bought this album, I still have , still play it, I'm now 70 ! Brings back so many good memories! Cliff and the Shadows were so good together, separated they each had their successes , in my mind they should have continued...!

  6. P.... R....

The menacing bass of Jet Harris.

    P.... R....

+Peter Richey jet was the only real rocker of this band.

  7. G.... F....

Iconic ! Incredible sound, marvelous rythm section... Perfect.

  8. R.... M....

This song is a much much underrated recording by Cliff. A very "Mod" sound to it. Brilliant !

    R.... M....

    hm....iTs a classic british R`n R number and i think the Rockers has loooove it ! :-)

  9. d.... ....

Incomparable. The Shadows STILL sound as good live as on record. They could sing well too (many vocals on record) but Cliff's voice is the icing on the cake. Jet's driving base has never been equalled by any band then or since.

  10. E.... J....

This sound is iconic and makes me glad I was around to appreciate these geniuses!

  11. T.... R....

Me and my Shadows album just phenomenal, this is just one of several awesome songs.

  12. D.... D....

    COOL SONG.

  13. t.... ....

That incredible guitar style of the Shadows is unmistakable

  14. R.... E....

Een van de beste nummers en hier vrijwel onbekend in die tijd. Wat zonde en wat prettig dat ik het eind zeventiger jaren toch nog ontdekte.

  15. D.... L....

Real 60s teenage stuff - one of Cliff's best.

  16. k.... ....

@cristianccm Jet Harris and Hank Marvin wrote this song!

  17. D.... ....

Right! Gets the the feet to do a little boggie . . . Bloody Yanks, I say, look out!

  18. s.... ....

Cliff and The Shadows were the musical bridge between Elvis and the Beatles. They are the missing link that the music and media industry refuse to recognise or respect.

  19. P.... N....

    Kick-ass British rock n Roll!

  20. J.... G....

great sounds and did not have technology in those days to lay down 200tracks for one song well done.

  21. E.... L....

Great sound from the 60's with one of the best bands... Remember some songs of Alvin Lee & Ten Years After. Magnific song!

  22. c.... g....

    wonderfull....Cem-Turkey

  23. R.... B....

fucking awsome track ! .,.,.,.,.just learnt the bassline and guitar parts

  24. e.... p....

I remember all the girls going Nuts over this Guy when I toured the netherlands in 1962

  25. d.... ....

Hearing this track reminds me just how good they were. Also you can hear the Scotty Moore influence in Hanks early guitar playing before developing his own style.

  26. y.... ....

The gang were just great back then,it was all to change when Tony and Jet laft,

  27. s.... ....

Grifiki, it's from a great album called "Me and my Shadows" not "Me and my Drifters"!!

  28. G.... H....

But this was "The Drifters". Not the Shadows..

  29. G.... H....

This was one of by biggies, when I was stationed out in Kenya 1959.

  30. t.... ....

Have to admit I've never heard this one before...but I'm glad I checked it out...great great track...people in the States may know Cliff, but not as much the early sides with the Shadows...nice montage of pics too...thanks for posting

  35. d.... ....

i love cliff he's my favourite male singer ps i'm 17

  36. A.... ....

Led Zed used to play Cliff standards live back in '73

  37. C.... ....

This track wouldn't have been out of place on Led Zep's first album.

  38. t.... ....

he` s got more chance of his brain fitting thru than his dick

  39. T.... ....

Have this on 7" 45rpm "Me and My Shadows" extended play disc. It was common then to split 33rpm Long Players into 7" discs usually with four songs on each, so you could basically buy the LP in instalments!

  40. c.... ....

As soon as possible i got clever boys to put thru Uni so need the cash!
