I lived in south Lebanon in the early 80’s when I first heard it and recorded it on... video cassette. Thanks to the appli "Shazam" I could finally know (in 2018) who was singing that song!

Jamie Rae did it better ... stronger vocals ..

The original was by a Scottish singer Jamie Rae in 1985. The original was so much better in my opinion. The vocal is so much stronger with more power. All they have done is take Jamie's vocal off and put Cliff's on. Just shows you that it was only a hit for Cliff because he was already a big name and Jamie Rae was a newcomer.

I first heard this song when I was 13 (1987)...and told myself that I would sing it to my girlfriend when I got one...but over time forgotten about it and after 31 years I remembered and found it again!! What simple songs and simple but meaningful times. Good stuff Sir!

It's the first time I heard this song... don't say, "where have you been?" I was on a mission, on another planet, OK..!! :))) Some of my contacts did share Sir Cliff music sometimes but in all honesty, I didn't listen to the complete song. Until one day I felt a tug in my heart, the rest is history, I am hooked, I love his voice and the fact that he loves Jesus. Now to me, he is the cat's meow, better than a slice of freshly baked bread; a cup of cafe con leche with fresh ground coffee beans you picked and roasted from the plant in your backyard.
