Richard, Cliff - Move It Lyrics
C'mon pretty baby let's a move it and a-groove it
Well shake oh baby, shake oh honey, please don't lose it
The rhythm that gets into your heart and soul
Well, let me tell you baby, it's called rock 'n' roll
Well, they just don't know what's a goin' to replace it
Yeah, ballads and calypsos they got nothin' on
Real country music that just drives along
Well, move it
C'mon pretty baby let's a-move it and a-groove it
Well shake-a baby, shake-a honey, please don't lose it
The rhythm that gets into your heart and soul
Well, let me tell you baby, it's called rock 'n' roll
They say it's gonna die but please let's face it
They just don't know what's a-goin' to replace it
Ballads and calypsos have nothin' on
Real country music that just drives along
Oh honey, move it
Hey move it
A-ha move it
A-ha move it

Richard, Cliff Move It Comments
Those were the days:A cool haircut and some really good rocking music.
Ritmo de batman año 60
Before he became a god botherer
Baffled! So Cliff Richard playing this song in the 60's (Black and WHite) is the same Cliff Richard that sung Devil woman (In color) and still looks like a teen!!! ???? He sung 60's music and transformed his music to 80's????
when we had decent music, not that shit we hear now and I was a teenager when this came out and still rocking in209209
What would he be without the SHADOWS !?! ;)
Not million of likes ?
This number got it....
boy he can sing wow what avoice man
It's what rock&roll is all about. Rock on!!!!
An all time classic
Cliff Richard doing what he used to do sing with soul.
Rsoul don't you mean??
He was a nobody, seduced by Jack Good, encouraged to look and act like Elvis and, for doing so was hyped, as are all the puffs in broadcasting today, look at them, somebody in broadcasting is fucking these male celebrities 'cos none of them have any talent, ability, charisma or appeal, is this why our BBC licences cost so much?
And of course they were still The Drifters then but had to change their name to The Shadows because there was a group called The Drifters in the USA.
If you ask many Shadows fans they will tell you that the backing on "Move It" is one of the best of all time! The one thing perhaps that not many do know however, is that neither Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch or Jet Harris played on the single itself. The backing on the "Move It" was provided by Ernie Shear (Lead Guitar), Frank Clarke (Upright Base), Terry Smart (Drums) and Ian Samwell (Rhythem Guitar) ... Ian also wrote the song. Ernie Shear was one of the truly great session musicians of the late 50s and early 60s ... not many of these highly skilled musicians made the grade in their own right, in fact the only one I can think of is the equally great Joe Brown! Now there's something for your diary tonight!
What a mover !!!
This guy is a serious Bad Ass !!! I only knew of him from the mid to late 70's, and he had already been in the game for 20 plus years.. "Suddenly" with Olivia is one of my favorite songs.. I am just finding this out right now.. He stayed looking young for a very long time...
Fantastic
*Cliff Richard!! es lindooo!!♡😊💦🌹 ヅ♪♫ •🇨🇷️*

Isto é Rock & Roll.
Viva os anos 60.
Viva o rei do Rock Elvis Presley.
God I so love this record. It was the first single I ever bought. Cliff’s dancing and Hank’s playing are both truly sublime.
Hank Marvin never played on the record. The lead guitarist was a session musician called Ernie Sheer! It was before Hank's time!
So this is where Paul McCartney got his I saw her standing there song. The bass line is similar
Great song, pity it had to be recorded by that bit phoney Harriet Webb.
@Margaret Ann Casey Is that it? Not very edifying is it?
best british rock n roll record ......
The shadows and cliff are so young and cool looking there, I’ve seen them on tv and movies in that period
The first British rock n roll song not me said that John Lennon no argument from me John
Amazing clip. Their influence cannot be underestimated.
Elvis is the greatest artist in the universe.
oooooh that fabulous hair!!!!
Absolutely an all-time classic of Rock'n'Roll!!!
liked him better in the 90s
.♥.♥.♥. Show. ♥.♥.♥.
Fabulous music
wheres ron kray ?
Salve os anos 60!!!
this is a r and r band , notice how sparse tony meehans drum kit is !
The great and very missed Tony Meehan on drums , and Jet Harris on bass 😊👍
The great Tony Meehan who was only 16 years old when this was recorded !
we remember this like it was yesterday and Jet Harris playing base, the original shadows and i am still bopping 60= YEARS LATER
O tempinho bom que não volta mais.... Brasil....2019
I wonder how many of the band were Nambla founders lol
Dunno, i used to rip the shit out of cliff richard on some of these videos, remember the BBC/British gove threw him under the bus, well, unless it was all pretend, to divert attention from something else .
Nowadays i really dont think cliff richard is what some would say he is/was
Nearing 80 and still going strong...your the BOSS
Exelente!
Cliff Richard começou nos anos 60,antes mesmo de surgirem os Beatles.
Bateu record de venda de discos, chegando aod 250 milhões de cópias, igualando a Elvis Presley.
É Cliff !!!!
Luv it at 1:21 - 1:24 when Cliff holds his arm out towards Tony..."cool it Tony this bit belongs to just Hank n Bruce"! lol
The British Elvis .. Cliff is a true legend a real icon ..
He’s only gotten better with age ..
Showing my age, as a conscript serving in 1958/60. Our barrack block, brick built 2 floors , had an empty section. 40 foot long 20 foot wide totally empty except for an old Phillips radio gram. This record was put turned up full volume, maximum bass. The building shuck, as I am sure half of Barrack Road Newcastle down to St James Park did
Seen Cliff and the Shadows many times in concert. First class act.
*Cliff Richard!*

Come on pretty baby, let's move it and groove it
Well, a shake a baby shake, ohh, honey please don't lose it
It's rhythm that gets your heart and soul
Let me tell you baby, it's called rock 'n' roll
They say, it's gonna die, ohh, honey bee, let's face it
They just don't know what's a goin' to replace it
Ballads and calypsos, they've got nothing on real
Country music that drives along
Come on honey, move it
Well, let's move
Well, move it
Come on pretty baby, let's move it and a groove it
Dance honey, dance baby, please, don't lose it
'Cos all over town there's a brand new beat
And it's hangin' in the air like the Mississippi heat
Fireflies in the night and bullfrogs croakin'
Well, here comes the train and boy, is she smokin'?
Headed out from New Orleans and clear to L.A.
Ya better get ready it's a brand new day
Honey, move it
Me doy cuenta que Elvis era un copión. Jajajaja
Great song ! Hank looking here like Buddy Holly :)
BRAVO SUPER BRAVO
Yes clif Richard was the rivalry of Elvis
Johnny halliday was also the French version of Elvis.
Rivalry with Elvis? Not really, no. There's a gulf between the their levels of talent although I grant you, both men were pretty.
Comparing Cliff to Elvis is a bit like comparing Rotherham United to Barcelona
up the back
people do not know he is gay
👏👏👏👏👏
Assim começou o Rock Roll
Шик!
People don't realize that he was the Elvis of the UK.
Skiffell
Poor mans Elvis 😂😂😂😂😂.
Lots of trolling jealous blokes here 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
i love the droning bassline from hank this song is ace af
that bassline was ahead of its time in a weird way. the droning quality is intimidating, almost apocalyptic. it would fit well in a garage rock or punk song.
To clarify, you're referring to the eighth-note guitar part which is played on the bottom guitar strings (low notes). The bass player is actually playing arpeggios which was stylistically typical of Rock bass lines of that era. But, yes, the droning guitar sounds cool. 😎
i love this
Belle chanson belle musique beau visage bel époque. ..

Cliff’s Gibson J45 from early in his career is currently on
sale on EBay with a final reduction on the run up to Christmas if you are
looking for something really special.
What about his J-200?
Elvis taklidi..
Cliff, Living Legend forever, awesome, love you the most
Cliff Richard is a first class human being who has brought pleasure and happiness to millions.I enjoyed his music greatly growing up but only recently have discovered what a good and decent guy he is as well.
Bless young thank you Cliff !
Tony playing Trixon drums. Wonder if Cliff bought him the Gretsch set when he also got them the Fenders. (Drifters or Shadows era ?)
Justin Hayward brought me here❤
Cliff is awesome and always will be... Yep!
Setting the stage for the British lnvasion.
If I was stranded on a desert island with one record...this would be it...BRILLIANT.
Ooh my.. That's how Cliff looks like.. So young and handsome.. I wonder how old was he at that time..
Pity he like little boys
Love him
Always amused by the simple drum sets in those days, all the equipment carried in one truck! Nowadays, several trucks needed just to carry the speakers!
All original!
This was written by Ian Samwell on the Green Line Bus Route 715 between his home and London.
Best 20 minutes of his life (perhaps!) He was very humble about it too, considering he wrote a song that broke Cliff Richard, and, much more importantly, Move It helped create the belief that Brits could do R and Roll as well as the Yanks. Shaking all Over by Johnny Kidd & The Pirates did the same thing at about the same time. Three years later - the Beatles. Wow.
Dunno why..l had the impression it was written by Jack Clements..
Very perfect 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻old song from Tehran Iran
Tim Vickery brought me here, s/o to the world football phone-in!
Legendiniho
이런 필름을 유투브세상인 작금 볼 수 있어서 감격입니다.
클리프의 동작은 참 독특하고 도발적여서 최고로 섹시하고 가창력 역시 흡입력 예요
Great backing for the biggest bum-fucker of them all...
Real style and talent. Love the moves.
Han är, cliff för hela slanten
I was a teener then !
Great times
The singer is corny but the band behind is pretty good.
This is amazing, as good as any early R and Roll. I completely love it when the 3 Shads limber up at the start, readying themselves for the musical fray ahead.
Я тебя слушал в 1973 г. Моя юность, в то время песни были лучше и веселее, сейчас что то булькает хлопает и голос из под воды.
Glad there weren't any screaming girls on this. Does my head in when all you can hear is them and not the song
Super morceau de musique et chansons toujours aussi bien belle, du bon temps ne me lasse pas et au top amitié Gérard 🤠🥤👍😍🙎🏾♂️🍒🥰🍦💙🏊♂️🥳😊🌻🥤
UN EXELENTE GRUPO THE SHADOWS..AMO A EST BANDA...CLIFF RICHARD AND SHADOWS FOREVER MY LOVERS😍😍😍😍❤🎸
