Richard, Cliff - Dynamite Lyrics
Well send me love in a package labelled dynamite
I wanna feel an explosion when I hold you tight
I got a powerhouse reception waiting for you
When you come back to your loving baby's arms again
Come back I'm dynamite
Well give me kisses that explode before my very eyes
I know the sight of you could generate a million sighs
I'm all set for detonation baby don't you know
Three two one zero there I go
I'm dynamite
I'm dynamite set to explode
Come back I'm dynamite
Come back I'm dynamite
If you wanna know what heaven's like you'll be there soon
Come back I'm dynamite
Come back I'm dynamite
Well give me kisses that explode before my very eyes
I know the sight of you could generate a million sighs
I'm all set for detonation baby don't you know
Three two one zero there I go
Come back come back 'cos I'm dynamite to be with
Come back to your loving baby's arms again
Come back I'm dynamite
Come back I'm dynamite
Sail across the stars and to a silvery moon
If you wanna know what heaven's like you'll be there soon
Come back I'm a time bomb
Come back my fuse is lit
Come back I'm dynamite
Come back if you don't come back to me
Come back I'm going to self-destruct
Come back I'm dynamite

Richard, Cliff Dynamite Comments
BBC pays Cliff, £2million, not enough by a long way.
Where are the prosecutions, invading privacy, subjecting an individual, to judgement, by world wide, ignorant, prejudice and racist views, FOR SOMETHING THEY HAVE NOT DONE.
No, not enough.
This will carry on until those who engage in this type of behaviour are punished. Or not, or what, over to you,.???
A very impactful song of Cliff Richard.I heard it 60’s.
I may be wrong but I think it was The Drifters who played on this track so pic should show Jet Harris and Tony Meehan. I think !
The sleeve notes are quite specific about who was credited on these early tracks, The Drifters or The Shadows. According to the sleeve notes, it was the Shadows.
Ummm... Yes, the Drifters were renamed the Shadows, during July '59, the name was suggested by the group's leader Jet Harris... Jet played bass and Meehan drums on Dynamite, recorded 9 march 59. Jet's replacement Brian Locking was himself replaced in late 1963 by John Rostill, shown in your picture. Similarly drummer Meehan was replaced in late 61 by Brian Bennett shown in yr picture. Sad to say you really couldn't have chosen a much less relevant photo of the Shads if you'd tried.
Thank you for those comments, RRR. While I was aware of all you say, some of my younger subscribers will not be, and will appreciate your helpful history of Cliff and The Drifters. I always check to make sure I get the credits correct, but one of the problems is that the sleeve notes do not give the year of each recording - so I cannot be sure which lineup was in the studio at the time. Another problem is that all the other groups of the 20th century went through similar changes of personnel. If I tried to research every single one, I would get bogged down and never post a thing. So my apologies to the purists out there for any offense caused. To others simply wanting to make sarcastic comments and score points, I say, Get over yourself and get a life. This is a music channel, not a history channel. Just enjoy the music.
This was the "b" side of Travellin' Light, credited to Cliff Richard and The Shadows.
