Rich, Charlie - There Won't Be Anymore Lyrics
Don't wait for the postman
If you're looking for a letter from me
There won't be anymore
There won't be anymore
If you're waiting for a call from me
There won't be anymore
There won't be anymore
Don't think of the love we had
Till you turned bad
And broke my loving heart
And when your heart is breaking
And you need some loving from me
There won't be anymore
Don't think of the love we had
Till you turned bad
And broke my loving heart
And when your heart is breaking
And you need some loving from me
There won't be anymore
There won't be anymore
It won't be like before
There won't be anymore

Rich, Charlie There Won't Be Anymore Comments
I’ve looked real hard to find him singing this song live...any help?
Listening to this in 2020. My mom loved this song
Great singer who merged blues, country and jazz. His JEALOUS and less talented drummer cousin is the ONLY one who would say otherwise. Buddy Rich, Charlie's cousin, hated country music most likely because cousin did better!

Fantastic . Hello from anglesey north wales uk
I love this song and nobody can do it like Charlie Rich did!!!
My Dad used to play Charlie Rich in the car when I was a kid. Dad had no sons. We shared a passion for fishing. We had a knack for catching fish. Oh the memories. Charlie Rich and Tom T Hall, in the car with Dad, on Saturdays, on the lake, in Nova Scotia. Dad was tone deaf. Weird. How he heard the music and strangled it when he sang it always mystified me.
Denisee Bucher Sounds like my Dads 8 tracks.Add Johnny Cash and songs about trains
Denisee Bucher I love Charlie Rich. Never did care for Tom T Hall. Never heard a song of his that turned me on.
One word classic.
This is a work of beauty! Love and a sweet embrace to all the people who knew this time. We were special together. Thank you all and I will see you on the other side with a mickey in my boot! may it never run dry........
I remember listening to this country classic back in 1974 on KOY AM 55 a legendary MOR station in Phoenix, AZ Thanks for posting it.
Wow! That's exactly the station I heard this on and other really cool and strange songs in the 1970s! Glad I'm not the only one because those days are kind of dreamlike to me now.
This man was soooo sexxcxxu. Had a huge crush on him.
Karla Groves it’s good to know that. He weight didn’t bother you? He was known as the silver fox.
Not a Sun session, RCA Victor and they first released it in 1964-1965. One of Charlie's best performances and recordings, country with some blues and R&B influences. Charlie at his best. I have put many miles on the original 45 singles for many years.
Good music- is good music, no matter the genre! And this is GOOD MUSIC! This man was one of the best, and could he play a mean piano. He affected so many musicians, he certainly affected me! We miss you Charlie- BUT we still have your soul in your music!
Sssoooo bs some , hola
His wife so lucky , cool
I have this on the album The Many New Sides of Charlie rich bought it around mid 60s Its a Phillips record no BL7695
AWESOME PHRASING AND TONE!
Damn Charlie, you were one hot daddy back in the day! :)
You think these young women who dye their hairs gray would have fallen for Charlie Rich? Even if Ariana Grande dyed her hair gray and she was living back then she would have lookes good with Charlie Rich.
this is what you call music.......
... was actually recorded in the mid-1960s but not released till 73.
how can there be 50 people out there who doesn't like this music.
some people are crazy.
For a time it seemed like every tune he sang was a hit and then suddenly, poof he was gone. Always wondered why.
my pick of all his great songs.
Mary Barrier yes this one and Behind closed doors. Two of his best.
beautiful music
love this.
Brings back childhood memories
this is what you call music
this is what you call music
you got that right!
Forgot this song
Love it!
tu eres mas que notable tu aucenecia , la lloro...
Ah, the Silver Fox! I grew up in the early 70's with his music. Give me more of that era and stuff , burn and bury the so-called current/modern country music - pop music wanna-be's singing pop music reject songs. GAG!
This is nuts and bolts country music, before it became so glitzy.
So ever handsome
K Leitner I agree!
There are still a few traditional style artists.
Amen! He was a huge influence on me
love listening to his songs, one of my favourites
One of my favorites. LOVE Charlie Rich!
Me too.
Mine to
He was so good looking 😍 & had a nice voice
charlie had it togather
Ek sal binne n week nie n stem gehad het nie soos hy moes sing as ek hom in die hande kon kry
my mom l love this songs
always loved this song
And I always will. This is a mini masterpiece of a gem of a song.
one of few tunes i remember hearing by him when i was a kid in the mid 1970's.here's a great trivia:this song was originally released as a single in 1965,but it went nowhere until about 1973 when RCA and other labels he recorded for re-released his earlier material and this song sold like crazy, hitting #1 on the country charts(also #18 pop) in early 1974.wish he was still around and tell these country radio stations and today's country artists to play real country music.
The same thing happened to "I Can't See Me In Your Eyes Anymore" recorded in 1964 and NOT released until 1974, and went straight to #1 on the country charts.
does anyone know who played the Sax(?) on this song
Will always be a Barry White man but this is so gong now two...folks who put the spirit into everything that music has to be to give us heart.
I started a facebook page to try and bring a more traditional country sound back to the radio. Please help me by going to facebook/saverealcountrymusic
@natalie sharp
We still to have traditionalists like Ricky Skaggs, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Randy Travis, Vince Gill, Marty Stuart, Rodney Crowell, Clint Black, and Dwight Yoakam.
It's not there.
Like it
I wasn't alive during the whole CMA John Denver bullshit. All I know is I have heard "Lord I Feel Like Going Home" and I cry. I suggest everybody do the same.
@jkoff76 What ? Cry or go home ? lol
Hmm. Hopefully just cry, don't want to "go home" just yet.
jkoff76 It didn't start with CMA John Denver, it really started when Charlie won entertainer of the Year. And "Dang Me" Roger Miller was reading the vote, he asked, "Charlie Who?"
I went to hear Jerry Lee Lewis in 58, guess who opened for him, yep, Charlie "The Silver Fox" and "Roy Orbison".
Charlie was right about Denver, that new age, womanizing, folk singing drunk didn't deserve the CMA that year or any other year.
Classic and so simple. He could sing a bit could Charlie!
Dooonnn't wait by your radio, to hear a country song....THERE WON"T BE ANYMORE!
Im going to embelish your great idea....
Ck it out brother loved your idea! Thanks Bill
@Shannon BurnsI also call it TRASHVILLE😁
zmanzmanzmanzman1 spottttttttt onnnnnnnnn bud spot on 👍🏼
How true this comment is! Lol
CHARLIE RICH WILL LIVE IN ME TILL I;M GONE..MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SINGER…. LOVE THE MAN
tooo rite
SILVER FOX LIVES
Beautiful true song!
This is a great song.
I'm glad you like it. This song is a "gem".
i like this song!!
What a Beautiful song.. sax and background vocals.. Love it!
The sax made it sound nice.
Charlie wanted to be a Jazz musician his wife told him you are country that’s your audience. Good music will break barriers. When was the last time you heard a sax or trumpet in country. Over thirty years.
broke my loving heart in two!
I know how he felt
Wow.. how fortunate to have had Charlie as your father in law... I would have had him singing at every moment I spent in his company! His wife Margaret needs so much credit for writing such beautiful lyrics.. I do hope it wasn't personal!
There wont be any MORE singers like Charlie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Charlie's voice is so real and soothing. I have a 45 of many...The popular side is She called me baby and the reverse side is "Ten dollars and a clean white shirt." I don't have the means to play it. Does someone have it? If so it would mean a great deal to me to hear it once more. Do post it and thanx. Piece!
would love to see that. i've done extensive search but can't find it. agree with the sentiment, though. cool!
you said it " C.M.A. " , when he brought out the lighter, it was over for him. he made a statement that well live the ages's, any one who saw it on live T.V. well never forget it. R.I.P. Charlie Rich, your voice was as Rich as any one.
Paula is right. All the male and female vocalists today sound the same. When Charlie, Conway, Johnny Cash, Dolly, Loretta or Crystal Gayle sang, you knew who it was. Country music today is boring.
Amo a charlie. love charlie and his music thank you .
From one old Charlie to another....wonderful!
Great song.. words i can relate to..sadly:(
all the great music this man has recorded ,and despite what he did at the cma awards in 1975,why is this man,the SILVER FOX not been inducted into the country music hall of famE?. he was a LEGEND in country music. i think this is so sad. alcheck
Kayla Nedved HE WAS NOT A SELL OUT. ENOUGH SAID. NASHVILLE IS A LOW DOWN AND DIRTY PLACE.
Eirann Lenormand, I for one do not go to concerts anymore, I was so disappointed at the last one I went to, two of the most famous stars of today, they didn't sing "It gets Easier, and "Sloop John B."
we loved john denver BUT he was a contemparary of the present time- also- onj from australia- country music is so much more than that- 11-2-2012- went to miranda/and her very humble husband- as Entertainer of the year!- song--"God gave me you!"-also on "The voice" good show- don't miss it!--a grey eagle
great one ... thanks so much for the video
Thank you, darling!
I wish they would bring back music like this. The music today,I can't stand. I love charlie Rich.
fantisfic song and music good shot
another one of my favorite songs from this foxy guy.
