Flash of the Blade is one of my favourite Iron Maiden songs and Rhapsody of Fire is one of my favourite bands. So... this is nice.

This is awesome , but i was expecting something more from Rhapsody , the best cover of this song is the one Avenged Sevenfold did , but none is better than the original.

I don't feel like a7x was able to really capture the "power" of the song. Power metal should stay power metal. They still did awesome though, really tough song to do for other bands not of this genre.

Avenged sevenfold and this band, each cover doesn't sound any better than the other. Covers are not made to sound almost similar to the original they are made because the band that makes the cover enjoys the originals music and want to play that song, not to 1 up the other. In my o.p that is.My favourite to listen to is still the original because it's the first I heard

Think before you speak, you just insulted what probably is the best Power Metal band (after Helloween just because they created it) and one of the few bands that can actually make an awesome cover and match Bruce Dickinson's highs. Give a listen to them, insulting something without knowing it just makes you sound like an idiot.

From a die hard Maiden fan......I like this version better. Rhapsody of fire is an insane band that deserves almost as much respect as Iron Maiden (without maiden they wouldn't be here), still I like this version better and it's much better than A7X even though I like their version too.

The difference between Iron Maiden's, Rhapsody of Fire's, and Avenged Sevenfold's version of the song is the accent it's sung in (there's a couple other minor things but that's the big one). So your favorite version is gonna be the accent you like best.

Personally i like Avenged Sevenfold's best, but that's just me. I do like Rhapsody of Fire's intro best though.

If you are talking about styles this cover as well have the classic Rhapsody style, style which I have to say, I like way more than the Avenged one, it's a more original style, also the music and the vocals are superior, anyway this is just my opinion, music is about tastes, so you can't say a song is better than other just that you like it more, just sayin'.

Debating between this cover and A7Xs would be fun but I couldn't really compare. Both offer something different while mostly keeping the Maiden feel imo. Both covers are great. For this one in particular, the added synth and keyboards imo make the song feel a bit more epic.

I believe you are mistaken. Avenged Sevenfold's cover is, pretty amazing. You may not like it simply because despite it being a cover, it still displays the Avenged Sevenfold style, and that's why I find it to be the best cover.

They're clearly an alternative metal band. And who cares if they didn't? At least they know how to write original songs and play instruments unlike certain unnamed pop artists. Of course you're free to have an opinion, but I'm just getting sick of metal heads insulting other bands that don't even deserve to be hated (ie. Dragonforce). And furthermore, why would you waste your time insulting a band you don't like rather than praising a band you do like (in this case Rhapsody)?
