I gotta ask the question. are " rev theory " fans the only people in the world been through shit? I mean, the " dislikes " out number the " likes". on thier song " broken bones" its like 28 dislikes. to that I say.... I am sorry the 12 people here who " dislike " this song have lived a perfect life. never got caught up in something or did something stupid to get ya locked up, been sent off to fight a war, or lost someone dear to you. or, God forbid, you???...loved somebody?. you 12 people must be the offspring of 24 people that won the lottery in the last 10 years. I know a few pop lovers who listen to nothing else. I personally only enjoy rock and metal. The rock that I listen to always has lyrics that mean something to someone, so I'll have to disagree with you on that. Music is open to interpretation, but my views and opinions are not. They belong to me and me alone.

I was answering somebody's question. I wasn't out to attack. I have never in my entire life found a pop song meaningful. The lovesongs bore me with the generic drivel that some people enjoy - that's fine, just not for me. My entire family is made up of rock lovers. I wasn't asking for respect for my comment, I was answering another person's question. I respect your right to enjoy whatever you enjoy, for me it's in my DNA. I couldn't sit through 5 minutes of mainstream radio, it makes me angry, all I hear is noise. The only place I even have a radio is in my car, but I keep it untuned as it holds nothing of interest for me or my family. For those of us who are true rock/metal fans, mainstream music is just white noise.

My 10 year old niece listens to those songs, I personally loath them. As for hearing people's opinions, you don't own YouTube, so I think I'll decline your advice, thank you very much. I don't understand why you would come to a rock video, see one person answer another's question and feel the need to defend pop? I don't care for pop, everything about it aggravates me. My teenaged daughter has even outgrown it, thank God! I will always believe what is true for me, not what I want. That's like telling a person who doesn't like oranges to drink OJ, just because most people like it doesn't make it a one size fits all mentality. You have a nice day yourself, as for me, I'm off to bed. Goodnight.

Only Nickelback song that I can think of is Never Gonna Be Alone, but honestly, I don't think it's a good love song, let alone good enough for confessing your love. Plus, you might want to show some originality and pick a song that describes your feelings rather than a random love song just because she listens to the band. A few other suggestions:
