People here dont seem to understand the symbolism/message. "Lay down your guns" does NOT mean give away your rights of self defense or independence, it means to calm down, be at ease, etc.

In English, we usually say "they're up in arms" meaning in verbal conflict, etc. That's what the song is trying to state, come to conversation, lay down your hostility.

rev theory are significantly heavier than most other "wwe hard rock" type bands i.e. pop evil, adelitas way, burn halo. which is also what makes them good.
some metalcore influence here I think.

Yes, nice to see them actually stick to their guns and not sell out to the pop machine. Chevelle are really more of a progressive-type hard rock band though, as opposed to the straightforward, easily-listened hard rock of the bands I listed, that's why I didn't mention them. They're a great band though
