I was very lost in my sins, but by the grace of God, he saved me. I'm so thankful for his mercy I cant do anything without him! 🙏

I’ve been through so much lately such as moving, losing my grandma and my friends. I drifted away from God for a bit. I found this song at a Christian sleep away camp and I felt closer to God temporarily but it didn’t stay. A few months later I fount this song again and I blasted it in my room, danced and praised God!! I found myself crying from overwhelming emotions. Happiness, joy, courage, strength and positivity. I have gotten so close to God, he is my lighthouse and I will not be afraid.

:) He's always there! He is the Heavenly Father after all. I try to think of him that way. Sometimes i have to remind myself that too

Can we meet up sometime cuz me and my sis and cousins have a band and we played this song last time we performed (we are all between the ages of 6-13 and we played it. Here’s a bit about each of us.

Me(Susanna)- Lead singer, ukulele, in song I’m not playing uke I’m playing tambourine

Ava(my cousin)- flute, every now and then she’ll sing if she isn’t playing flute

Owen (my cousin)- Drums, has been on full drum set since age three! That’s 8 years!

Elise(my sis)- random percussions it depends on what we need for each song, sometimes is a singer if we need more voices

Lauren ( my cousin)- basic piano (just a small melody) and she sings

My bro, Donovan, and my cousin nico both help us with equipment and confetti if we use confetti and they basically help us set up and do neat projects to help make the songs more interesting to watch.

The lyrics to this are among the worst I've ever encountered.

Whoever penned them seems unaware that lighthouses don't "carry" anyone anywhere ... ever. And then there's the idea of "following" a lighthouse. The thing is, once you catch up to it, following a lighthouse gets REALLY boring. But even that is to miss the point. Lighthouses are not meant to draw us toward them but to warn us away from them.

Come on, church ... we can do (and have done) SO much better!

This is weird, I had to sing this in my primary school, we weren't a Christian school and we didn't read hymns and now I've came out as gay I didn't realise that this song had Christian connotations.

Today in my target class I walk in thinking its gonna be a normal day like always. Wrong. A couple minutes after I got into class this kid named Dalton started singing my lighthouse.I started to sing along. I was filled with joy hearing this. But there were kids around not even knowing the song. Of course I just keep singing ignoring them cause I knew if I told them, they would be pretty angry.
This world Is very cruel. But luckily there are still a few people willing to sing outloud in jesus's name. I am blessed to be here and be able to hear that people still believe!!!
