Missing Rem and 90's great tunes
REM is my all time favorite band. I’m more melody oriented than lyrics, and their melodies are haunting. Mike Mills’ harmonizing has an amazing ethereal quality. The chords always tug at my heart. This song, and most of all their earlier stuff is ridiculously creative. Michael Stipes voice, one of a kind. The beauty of this song, for me, is almost beyond description.
The song says Kill Devil Hill not Hills, like the city in North Carolina. Does any one the meaning of this?
