What a singing voice so smooth . Those was the words of a friend of mine at a concert in Belleglade Florida in 1959 when we went to see the concert he was on . Never got to many concerts but I enjoyed all i got to see. Most all the legends are gone now . May they rest in peace

This is so well written. I met the love of my life, a German guy with a fast motorcycle and bad boy ways. I didn’t realize how bad he was until half way through, arrogant, cold and changed his mind on a dime, almost every time. I later had a dream, an angel of the Lord told me he was bipolar and I felt sympathy for him. I began to understand why this cute guy of mine was so wild and free. I was the opposite a beautiful, church girl who had such an innocence that appealed to him. He was tired of the bad girls he met on the streets and he fell for me, kind, soft, forgiving and always carried so much faith and HOPE for us. I was broken hearted the day he told me he found a better engineering job in Switzerland. My Love was leaving in one week. I cried. I prayed. I couldn’t believe it. He rode off on an airplane on a Sunday and for the first time I felt his spirit say he loved me and that he was so very sorry that he let me down. I’ll never forget my German boy with a bad attitude and thick accent. Miss you Bruno and will forever be in love with you

One of the great singers in country music---along with Jim Ed Brown--they could hardly be beat. Jim died tragically in a private plane accident in Brentwood, TN barely a year after the great Patsy Cline died near Camdem, TN. A tragic loss for country music, his family, and the career that was cut short. RIP, Gentleman Jim Reeves, one of the first, if not THE FIRST, International Ambassadors of country music.

Voor mijn grote liefde

It has been more than 40 years since I’ve seen her last. After getting married, Geertje and I immigrated to Canada early seventies. While working for a short time with Linda (Ruth Miller) side by side at a Harvey Wallbanger’s steakhouse downtown Toronto, I just had to tell her that we couldn’t see each other anymore. She arranged a transfer to another Wallbanger along Young street. Nevertheless, after all these years, her sweet and good memory is still with me. Jim Reeves’s song “When Two Worlds Collide” reminds me of that period. She had blue eyes, played piano and she told me about Christ for which I’m very thankful. We've a beautiful family with 3 children (Jason, Warren & Kirsten) and if not in this world, I’m sure anxiously looking forward to the moment we’ll meet again in Heaven all together.
