Reeves, Jim - Dark Moon Lyrics

Dark moon, way up high up in the sky
Oh, tell me why, oh tell me why
You've lost your splendor
Dark moon, what is the cause your life withdraws
Is it because, is it because I've lost my love?

Mortals have dreams
Of love's perfect schemes
But they don't realize,
Their love can sometimes bring

A dark moon, way up high up in the sky
Oh, tell me why, oh tell me why
You've lost your splendor
Dark moon, what is the cause your life withdraws
Is it because, is it because I've lost my love?

Mortals have dreams
Of love's perfect schemes
But they don't realize,
That love can sometimes bring

A dark moon, way up high up in the sky
Oh, tell me why, oh tell me why
You've lost your splendor
Dark moon, what is the cause your life withdraws
Is it because, is it because I've lost my love?

Reeves, Jim Dark Moon Comments

I first heard this song in 1059 not too long after I came to this country. Gale Storm recorded it in '57 and was the first I think. Jim does it In a way that can't be described in words. His was a voice that was a once in a lifetime. His music lives on so I guess it's a voice for the ages. Such a special man, such a wonderful voice. RIP

I heard this song for the first time around rwo weeks ago . My god, what a voice and what a wonderful song! I will treasure it forever. Jim certainly left his mark in the world even though he left us so early. He was blessed and may he rest in piece.

Lordy, what a voice, the BEST ever to Me, love this Man and his music, Country music at it's VERY BEST. Not like the crap they are playing today, Country Music has gone to hell in a bread basket.

    Phyllis Boyse

So true Bobby. Today it is "country rock" or country jazz. None of those today can compare to what Jim's era was.
