JIM "The Gentleman" has a been my all time favourite, I been hearing his songs for about 45 years now. And Christmas is the season i wait to hear him more and more, he brings in the Christmas mood. This generation may not know him much, but I guess they are missing a great collection. Merry Christmas to all you lovely friends here.

I got an old style record player one year for Christmas, just had a volume button and a self lift stylus. My Mom gave me a stack of LPs that had everything from Beatles to Beethoven in it. I picked out Jim Reeves and never looked back. I listen to him all the time - no finer male voice in Country music in ANY era.

It's hard for me to listen to this without it bringing tears to my eyes because Jim Reeves was my late mother's favorite singer and she'd play this song several times at Christmas time. This song she said reminded her of the Christmas V-mail letters my dad would send her when he was in the Pacific during WWII. So I can only bring myself to listen to this only once a year at Christmas time

One of the smoothest voices in music history. Jim recorded over 400 songs before his death in a tragic plane crash in 1964. When I worked in radio, it was always nice to hear a new Jim Reeves song. His wife was smart and released about two a year. Kept Jim's voice on the radio and may be grabbed onto a few new listeners. RIP Gentlemen Jim!

What Beautiful song by a singer that was sadly taken away from us far, far too soon. What a beautiful voice Jim had. He died before I was born, and that is so sad. This song always brings tears to my eyes it is so beautiful and sung with such emotion, it means so much in so many ways, thank you Jim for leaving us with such beautiful songs which will be around forever. RIP you are greatly missed.

This reminds me of my first Christmas that Shannon Marie Burns and I spent oh around a quarter of a century ago. It seems like 25 minutes. Oh God I miss her. I know God you needed another angel. She took my heart with her you know. Shannon I will love you for eternity. I love you My Bear. Your Denny. This will be my first Christmas without her and I am terrified.
