This classic was released in November 1965 by the one and only Otis Redding. No.11 in April 1966 and the UK's No.96 of 1966. This cover of The Temptations classic is brilliant and Otis did this justice.

This song is still bangin after so many years. It’s timeless.

Although I love Ottis, I think he really Blew it with the lyrics on this one. " I don't need no money, all I need IS MY FAME".. this is contradicting what The Temptations were trying to get across. " I don't need no money, FORTUNE OR FAME. I got all the riches one man can claim"..MEANING: he needs none of $$$$, all he needs it MY GIRL! Otis states "all he needs is his fame!. doesn't make sense to me.

My favorite song of all times regardless of who sings it. I've heard it performed by different lead singers of the Temptations and other groups and it's such a great song that no artist can mess it up. Otis sings it very well and I love the brass section of the Bar-Kays in the background. Gone to soon - Otis Redding.

Wow, as long as I've been into music, I never knew Otis had a rendition of My Girl! I just heard it and it was amazing! The man sings this with just as much passion as David Ruffin.
