Redding, Otis - Hey Hey Baby Lyrics

Hey, hey pretty baby
Baby, you sure is fine
Hey, hey pretty baby
Baby, you sure is fine
Every time I look at you
You drive me out of my mind

She got big blue eyes
Want her here by my side
She got big blues eyes
Want her here by my side
Hey, hey pretty baby
Let me be your little guide

She got ruby lips
Boy, she sure got pretty hips
She got ruby lips
Boy, she sure got pretty hips
And when she walks down the street
All the cats go flippity flip

She got big blue eyes
Want her here by my side
She got big blues eyes
Want her here by my side
Hey, hey pretty baby
Let me be your little guide

Hey, hey pretty baby
Baby, you sure is fine
Hey, hey pretty baby
Baby, you sure is fine
Every time I look at you
You drive me out of my mind

Hey, hey pretty baby
Baby, you sure is fine
Hey, hey pretty baby

Redding, Otis Hey Hey Baby Comments

The only thing that could've improved this is a sax break!  Love Otis and Richard equally.

When Little Richard got holy (again,' ) his band hired Otis to replace him. Redding did idolize Mr.Penniman, and sure could shout it out, but come on people: NOBODY sounds like Little Richard.

Wikipedia: When Walden started to look for a record label for Jenkins, Atlantic Records representative Joe Galkin showed interest and around 1962 sent him to the Stax studio in Memphis. Redding drove Jenkins to the session, as the latter did not have a driver's license.[22] The session with Jenkins, backed by Booker T. & the M.G.'s, was unproductive and ended early; Redding was allowed to perform two songs. The first was "Hey Hey Baby", which studio chief Jim Stewart thought sounded too much like Little Richard. The second was "These Arms of Mine", featuring Jenkins on piano and Steve Cropper on guitar. Stewart later praised Redding's performance, saying, "Everybody was fixin' to go home, but Joe Galkin insisted we give Otis a listen.
