Like no other band, the journey of re-discovering Redbone is a joyous and endless one! Love Pat's songs re: Native/ Indigenous resistance; written at the time of the actual events like "We Were All Wounded at Wounded Knee" re: AIM Occupation of Wounded Knee 1973, and harkens back to the Wounded Knee Massacre also, and Pat's "Alcatraz" 1970 re: the IAT occupation of Alcatraz Island; so beautiful and mournful....but just other songs too, like "Where is Your Heart?" from their album Already Here, and "Someday" from the album "Wovoka." oxoxo

It's kind of heartbreaking in a way; all that lost time....really enjoying ALL of their songs from the "Pat & Lolly Vegas" days right up to Pat's latest music. oxoxoxo For me, Pat's songs are SO versatile it's crazy!! To hear someone say some of remarks: --can"t u do anything right, a little could have done a better job than u. some who ask the why r u crying r care more about an answer to their than u, its worse then going the hospital 4 -surgery.

Pat Vegas squires a crew of young'un look alikes doing Redbone from the disco years (sigh) and has an Official Redbone Facebook page. His heart remains true, but having to pay bills and taxes like all the rest of us has succumbed. We still THANK REDBONE for all the miracles laid down on vinyl.
