Belief in God or any other diety is personal. Religion is a construct of man, an attempt at articulating what we could never possibly understand. Some people have faith, others demand facts, but those who hand tickets out for the afterlife and try to win souls to their brand are the problem he references. The fake, shaking hands of men, promising the end. Looking around the bend, is it going to end? When? No one knows yet these people act like it's a secret that justifies their evangelism, as if the end could be soon so they absolutely MUST go out and tell everyone what they must hear to adhere... before it's too late. This song is a great jab at organized religion that doesn't inherently discredit true belief in faith, nor alienate those who believe otherwise. It's just a lesson in finding your own truth peaceably and in your own time. Love it!

He's talking about how people (or someone in particular) speaks on things they can't prove but remain secretive about the facts. And the ultimate question is will it end. Based on how he mentions "between the resurrection and the prophesy unborn" his question is directed toward religion. And the answer is yes. Eventually all things will come to an end after the tribulation. But the good news is born again Christians will inherit the kingdom of God.

To each their own...but can christians prove truths? What is truth?? Is it true that "born again Christian's" will go to some place they are promised by a book or by some preacher/pastor? What are the arguments made that born again christian's go to a type of heaven if they abide by certain criteria, and what makes those things truths? Is it simply because of peraonal beliefs? Fear? Cultural beliefs? Social? Or is it absolute truth?

@Tamiko Ross look all I know is that I would not here to type this unless there was a God watching over me, ive been at the end of the rope several times begging God to help me through it and every single time he blesses me, literally this morning he saved my home and gave me a great job. I tend to go in the religious direction because I am a Christian but there is more than one way to look at this.
