this would work well at the start of live shows to build tension. Josh could use a looper for the guitar bit and solo over it (same with flea)

Naughty Monkey rhcp have their funky crazy side and their serious side I just prefer their serious side you are entitled to your opinion. I think Modest Mouse is 10 times a better band that RHCP, i could not bare a rhcp concert lol. They played here the same day in south Florida. The same day they came, Soundgarden and Perfect Circle came to a ft Myers festival, I went just to see Perfect Circle. This was 2017.

@Frank Lopez It's rather an inane comparison, saying one band is "better"than another. RHCP are one of the most enduring bands that exist. They've been at it over 30 years and are still going strong. They are absolutely original, which is not something many musicians or bands throughout history can rightly claim. I saw them play in 1992/3 while they were touring Blood Sugar Sex Magic. They're one of the most incredible live performers I have ever seen. The pure, unmitigated, raw energy they exude, the ephemeral connection they harness with their audience is a sight to behold. They started out as a group of genre defying party funk crazies, and slowly evolved into the huge stadium pop-rock phenomenon they are today. They've somehow managed to do so without ever appearing to sell out on any level, or otherwise compromise their integrity. They've had their high points and their low points like everyone else to be sure, but they endure. They are beyond comparison, beyond genre and especially in today's landscape of increasingly homogenised, auto-tuned crap, they still stand apart from the rest. No small accomplishment. But to claim they are a "better"band than anyone else would be idiotic. "Better"by what metric? Claiming one band is "better"than another implies an objective standard of measurement, where there is none. It's all a matter of subjective opinion.

@Frank Lopez My initial point though, was that Blood Sugar Sex Magic was the quintessential turning point for them, musically speaking. It portended to the future with songs like Under The Bridge and Breaking The Girl, while heralding the past at the same time, with tracks like Sir Psycho Sexy and Suck My Kiss. It's the perfect cross section of the myriad sounds they have encompassed over the years. But I am biased, as I grew up with that album (having been born in 1979), and seeing them tour the same was my first big stadium concert experience. RHCP are actually the only band I can think of, present company excepted, that I honestly cannot think of anyone I've ever known not claiming to like. BSSM came out just as the burgeoning rave scene was taking hold locally, and it was loved and appreciated by all the ravers and all the metal heads alike. Transcendent is the best adjective available to describe their music.

Naughty Monkey I’m not reading all that I’m not going to argue with you, you have your opinion, like the staunch RUSH fan lol. I’ll take modest and janes addiction, and rage against the machine, tool, the cure, Depeche Nirvana, Primus, Alice In Chains, misfits, Ramones type o Negative, Gwar, Korn, white zombie, DEVO, skinny puppy, soft cell, pet shop boys, System of a Down , Pantera, want me to go on? I think we’re done.rhcp is ok but not like wow omg!!! Lol ✌️
