Chris wrote this song because one day he came home at lunchtime and saw his daughter crying in front of the TV,she had been watching people getting stoned to death in South Africa,she asked Chris will they be in heaven,he could not answer her,so he got his father to explain that there was a heaven,That is why he wrote the song,You Must Be Evil,which was all about the news media showing something like that on TV,more so in the afternoon.

There is no words I know that can justify the pain this song is about - An absolutely beautiful and stunning song - Mr Chris Rea this is wonderful

Such a profound song - it’s a family centric connection for us to connect to our families who have passed. (The real words and meaning are much darker ). Where Chris came from had some issues with abuse and this is explains the upside of those poor kids who suffered.

My lieutenant in police academy played this video over photos of riley ann sawyers (a girl who was abused to death by the hands of a horrible human being called her father and her so called mother) and said when he saw this video before his granddaughter was born, he was weeping, just wondering "how could something so horrible happen to such an innocent soul"

It's so hard to read all dose hearth breaking story's in the comment section. My reason is the opposite of dose ...fortunately, i had a huge car crash yesterday i rolled over 3 times and get out unharmed... somebody or someone was watching me from up there, not a scratch its unbelievable I still can't belive it. My phone was 20 feet from the car, and it was in the door pocket before the crash. Wear your seatbelts all the time!!!! It saved my life!

Just lost my brother senselessly over this so called Opioid Crisis that is a big lie! The Drs Forced tapered my sweet brother off his pain meds he has been on for Almost 20 years, and it killed him. He was not an addict, he was mearly needing help to live his life out with a better quality of life that wasn’t possible in any other way due to chronic pain after breaking his neck and spine issues. Well now he’s gone, and it does feel like it’s cold as ice to me after what they did to my brother. These Drs are killing innocent people or they are committing suicide because Drs are being threatened with loosing their licenses if they help anybody living in chronic pain!
Heaven help those suffering and dying at the hands of our corrupt health care system that is being held hostage.

This came on my ipod when I was walking my dog yesterday. I had tears streaming down my face. Such a beautiful sad song. When my daughter was little, her granddad died, she kept asking where he was. I said he's in heaven, and she said "So there is a heaven?" I said yes, that it's a better place. I really hope it's true.
