This song haunts me so much. I first heard it in my house with my parents when all the kids went to Vietnam. Mom loved this song. The house was empty but she kept each room a memorial to each one of the children. She continued to make everyone’s favorite meals though they weren’t there she continued naming grade school s children after the ones that went to war. Mom wanted her children back. It was against all odds. She had lived through Pearl Harbor and living through loosing her family in Vietnam was more than she could take but each time she saw it held an infant she said there’s chris there’s rose there’s Danny .... she had so many little micheals. She was the most devoted mother you would ever want to meet so loving so caring. She made meals for me every day for breakfast and I wore their hand me downs not because we were poor but I was trying to be all of my brothers and sisters.
