Ray Price - 24th Hour Lyrics

There are twenty-three hours that I can't get by
But the 24th hour is the one when I cry
I pray that it won't come but it comes anyhow
And the 24th hour is right about now

Right about now the heartaches start calling
Right about now the teardrops start falling
The late show is over and there's no place to go
And it's right about now that I miss you you so

I start counting the hours when daylight began
For I know that when night comes just how it will end
I pray that it won't come but it comes anyhow
And the 24th hour is right about now

Right about now the heartaches start calling...

I never thought I'd hear this song again. What a joy, then and now. Too bad something happened to him with songs such as "Nightlife" and "For the good times."

Well here I am again another year later, just like any seriously addicted Ray Price fan. I used to sometimes call him Mister Magic, because just when you had one Ray Price tune picked as your favorite the old smoothie comes strollin' down Music Row and posts yet another sterling performance on his seemingly endless wall of memories. You were simply blessed as the best Raymundo.
RIP my friend.. We all miss you.

Agree 100%, been a Ray Price fan since first hearing him in the early 50s, loved his early style, his Ray Price Shuffle style & the smooth pop style, Ray was great at all, and one of the few who sounded as good live as on record.

Here I am a year later and, like fin wine, he's only gotten better with time. The best friend a good song ever had.
I see by the ThumbsUp/ThumbsDown counter that 5 more inmates from the Funny Farm have escaped!

I do like this song. Ray's fabulous voice makes anything he sings special. Each time I hear a "new" song by him I wonder how I've missed so many of them through all these years. Ray is one of the truly talented artists of all time that we are so privileged to enjoy and say we are fans of his. Thank you for this treasure. - Paula
