Ray LaMontagne - Part Of The Light Lyrics

Why so many people always running 'round
Looking for the happiness that can't be found
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know

For everyone resplendent in the wealth of kings
Thousands upon thousands only suffering
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know

I want to be a part of the light
Please let me be a part of the light
I want to be a part of the light
I choose to be a part of the light
All light

Why so many people only close their hearts
Turn their eyes as other's lives are torn apart
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know

When kindness is the greatest gift that one can share
Why choose hate to subjugate your fellow man
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know

I want to be a part of the light
Please let me be a part of the light
I want to be a part of the light
I choose to be a part of the light
All light
All light
All light
All light

Omg so amazing! I can´t believe that I only now discovered Ray LaMontagne. Every track I heard so far was beautiful in all ways! First song I heard was "empty" and I kind of assumed a black woman was the leadsinger. and then I realised it was a white man singing. So much soul, so much love, so sensitive! I am so addicted to your music! Thank you! and forgive me that it took me so long to find you! Eternal love from Berlin! :)

Another great f***ing tune from a man I'm about to start referring to as the "Master." My God, he has so many tunes that just blow me out of the water or maybe I should say to the sea. Thank you Ray.

The fuzzy acoustic intro reminds me of Nick Drake!

Yes! I was just thinking the same thing.

The lyrics have a Simon and Garfunkel or Belle and Sebastian vibe.
