My boyfriend of five years broke up with me and I posted this song on social media. I thought everything was so weird, we were in love. And I kept thinking about the "whys" in the song, how they are mostly retorycal and stubborn whys. He killed himself. And I saw at his YouTube history that he had listened to this song.
I am forever left with this retorycal why. So many unanswered questions...

This just kills me. I'll never understand why things happen the way they do. I miss my sweet heart so bad. 6 years together. She was supposed to be my wife. Then i hurt my ankle so bad. Had to get surgery. Got opiates, abused them for short time. Got taken off my pain meds. Still hurt badly. Got introduced to heroin in my old area. Tried it, it slowly yet quickly took my love in life.

Took my everything. She was my best friend. She was my lover. She was my everything. She was supposed to always be my everything. I wanted to quit so badly. I wanted it to leave me forever. Sadly i kept choosing heroin. I couldn't quit. She tried to help me. She tried to stay with me. She eventually couldn't share me with heroin anymore. She left me over a year ago. I just found out the other day shes seeing someone else. I have never hurt so badly Every day since she left me. Each day my heart breaks again when i remember our special love. She was my baby. We listened to ray loyally. Shelter was our song. When it comes on now i still long to hold my sweet Annie.

If i could go back and change that moment that begun the tearing a part of my love in life. She was my soul mate. Ill never really be able to fully get over what has happened to my girls love. She still today is in my heart. Ill love her always with my entire heart and soul. Until the end of time. And even further on. I could never stop loving my sweet Annie Rose. She was my whole entire world. She was the love of my life. It kills me inside remembering her special love for me.

I was in a coffee shop yesterday trying to kill time when this song came on and it it really moved me.

I just can't get the vision out of my mind, her saying weeks ago, "Don't leave me. Don't let me push you away if things get hard." We both loved Ray Lamontagne but I'd never heard this song before. It's so simple but so heavy. I miss her every second. I'm struggling every day but the pain lessens marginally little by little.

I lost my brother a little while back...but my mother lost a child and needed to let go the tears...she had heard about Jasmine's song...and demanded i play it for her..the tears rolled within two minutes...and i saw relief pour from my mother's face....almost a good sad.
A critic recently panned the song...then was panned himself for not "getting" WHY?"...from a lady who bought all three of Jasmine Lamport's songs.
