Why wasn't this song played on the radio ? I only heard it cuz I bought the album Detonator.

JAMIE Lewis hair metal was on it's way out replaced by thrash and grunge. Sucked big cuz a Ratt concert was a party!

Yeah I discovered it in 2000 buying their Ratt N Roll greatest hits. I don't get why it wasn't a huge hit, it's kind of a power ballad and really catchy, seems perfect for 1990-91

I hate to say it... But Ratt would have been much more successful if they had a pretty boy as their singer.
Every 1980's rock band with a pretty boy did better than those with ugly singers. It's sucks that this matters, but it does. Because cheesy 1980's pop bands, glam bands, and hair bands appealed to teenage girls, especially bands that released the obligatory staple--the power ballad.
If teenage girls don't all feel like they 'want' the singer singing to them, they just don't listen. If, for example, Vince Neil or Bret Michaels or Axl Rose or Jon Bon Jovi was their frontman, Ratt would have been at least twice, maybe 5 times bigger. Because their songs are exactly on par with those other bands. Human nature, especially for tween and teen girls is very basic. A pretty boy can do anything and the dumb girls will like it.

We weren't old enough to party, but we can remember the music as kids. I'm 1985 and vividly remember being a 5 or 6 year old kid at the tail end of the glam era

Because at the time the music industry and MTV heavily oversaturated the market with knock off acts and overexposure in the media. They found a way to bottle a formula for this kind of music and pretty soon people were tired from the excess.

I think Bobby gets too much hate in all honesty. When Robbin Crosby passed into legend, Bobby was hurting bad. The two were like Ozzy and Randy Rhoads. Instead of drugs and loads of alcohol a-la Ozzy, Bobby was more acting out in a furious manner. I think he wanted things to be like they were with the whole crew. I admit I saw Bobby Blotzer: Featuring Ratt(joke from UK interview) when they were on tour. He seemed... off. Like he both hated, yet loved his old bandmates.

Other than Out of the Cellar, this was my favorite Ratt record. They were so on point and the songwriting was Great. Just too late. Seattle came and infected & killed Melodic Metal.

The record companies killed rock music for over a decade with pushing Grunge down people's throats. "Commercial" heavy and hair metal was an organic movement from the mid 07's to the 80's, Grunge lasted for 4 years at best
