i can't get over these lyrics. I think, out of all of the songs I've listened to by Rancid, the ones from this stand out the most. Excellent, very poetic to me.

If anyone cares, below is a comment saying that the chords from the 11th hour were taken from "Hop a Plane". Well, they are incredibly similar. But, Hop a Plane was made in 2007, and this album came out in 1995, so if anyone is taking anyone's work here it would be them not Rancid. 

It also sounds a lot like Capital Radio Two by The Clash, And that song was released in 1979/1980.

they have a shirt that mimics the style of this album's cover and uses a similar font to the Rancid logo. they have also said they were into punk when it got big in the 90's. also, Hunter's band AFI is from the Bay area and Matt Freeman's playing might mean something to him either way. so yes, knowingly or not, Hop A Plane is similar to this song. i'm surprised i never thought this before. but i haven't heard this album or any Rancid album in a good while, and i listen to Tegan and Sara much more.

My favourite song by Rancid, no doubt about it.

If you want to hear "Indie" with soul then go to your local music retailer and purchase the best of the pixies or get the album " a long drive for someone with nothing to think about" by Modest Mouse. Just because it might not be your taste in music doesnt mean theres no "soul" to it. Be more open minded, music is an art and with art there are no boundries, no right or wrong
