I am a metal and punk fan...I have this ongoing argument with a friend of mine. I like both Steve Harris of Iron Maiden and Matt Freeman of Rancid. He insists that is nowhere near the category as Steve Harris. Although different styles, Matt Freeman is a bad as mofo on the bass....this songs clearly demonstrates his greatness!
i totally agree with you mate . i play bass since 15 years,i ensure you that the two are both great bass players,different styles but for me some bass lines of Matt Freeman are more difficult than Steve Harris usual basslines.. you are right
