Ronnie James Dio was a sensational vocalist,he had the ability to stun the audience night after night with his power house steamrolling no let up vocal chords, very few singers, vocalists,frontman and women could do what RJD had a divine gift from the gods...and forgive the clique god only knows how he did it but thank God RJD that you could ... underrated is an underrated word!!!!!

Blackmore was Rainbow.He gave Dio his chance.Maybe Dio wrote lyrics, but Blackmore wrote whole Rainbow's music.

I must say though Rising is actually pretty metal, more metal than even the debut (by Rainbow),

This album is more so Hard Rock than Heavy Metal but there is Metal in this album too.
