Rainbow - Lost In Hollywood Lyrics
Gotta get a message through
Cause I think I'm losing you
Am I too late
Drinking habit's a loose sometime
I gotta know if you're still mine
Last time I saw your face
You tried to hide the tears
But I could see the trace
I'd be there if I could
But it's so far away from home
Lost in Hollywood
In the dark the vultures wait
I can hear them
Knocking at my gate
The brew was cold
The meat is stale
In the L.A. night the sirens wail
The song you can feel
Pale stars that never shine
Scotch and the whiskey
And the Rainbow local wine
She's done more bad than good
I gotta get away somehow
Lost in Hollywood
On the streets the sun is fine
Don't you feel the advantage hit your mind
Feels all right oh yeah
But I'm a lover
Like a loaded gun
Chasing shadows on the run
Out in the night
I'm gonna lose control
If I been losing you
To pay for rock'n'roll
Get back I know I should
Gotta get back home to you
You don't know what I been through
But there's nothing I can do
Lost in Hollywood

masterpiece
Sutch a great drummer Cozy Powell was,My favourite all the way !!
Well now I know where Mega Man comes from...
This song reminds me of all those great LA nights in the late 70s; beautiful Californian girls in skimpy bikinis that came off too easily while we knocked back bottles of Jim Beam and Canadian Club. G-d, I was wish I were 5 again!
There's just something mysteriously magical about 'Blackmore's' playing.
The Return of King Solomon
Yngwie better
Graham' s rules!
Graham Bonnet great!
from Japan
...I fkn LOVE Bonnet.
First Heard Graham Bonnets vocals on a single from late 1960s called only one woman loved his voice then. Never thought he'd be in Rainbow. Good album too.
Great band... Great song... Great singer... Rainbow forever and Long Live Rock and Roll!!!
cozy♪
Blackmore the King!
Bonnet is a hell of a vocal powerhouse!
グラハムボネット最高!
Que vocal foda!
Это - КАЙФ!!! Дио!!! Блекмор!!! Нет слов. Обожаю!!!
Dio велик, но здесь поет Bonnet.
LOVE THIS SONG
The best song on the album, by far!
I love Dio i love Bonnet i love Lynn Turner i love Romero Rainbow forever
Graham is a one of rock n rolls that is figured as Human.
If you get the chance check out one of the two bands that will be playing this this summer. Graham is on tour with a reformed Alcatraz in OZ and will be playing the entire album. And Don Airey and Freinds are playing odd dates inbetween other comitments. I suppose the electric Blackmores Night might just attempt it - but they seem to be mainly murdering Dio songs.
Found this at last !
1976 heard this for the first time, buddys van, so loud couldn't hear for a while after, I was hooked on rainbow to this day,
I tought it went out '79
God bless the city of Angels.
TY Bonnet, your vocals are awsome!
Exactly my words...The best voice of Rainbow..!!! Imho..!!!
Graham and Rob Halford sound alike
やっぱスタジオテイクでワイに勝る奴は居らんな(笑)
Que canción tan del pucctas! 🤘💀
brilliant album, the best since Richie Blackmore's Rainbow
Super sound with G.B.🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮
Ritchie Blackmore is God
Great album

Notice how the break down, & then the solo all mimic different era's & movie genres? The keyboard breakdown is reminiscent of the Epic style movie music like the Bible movies, or large Gone With The Wind type of productions. Then the guitar burst into an early Western/ Train Robber movie, when there was no spoken dialogue, just those lightning fast, insane piano duals. And finally the solo culminates in a car chase type scene/movie ending crash/ crack um up! It incorporates the 'Magic' of Hollywood of which he has been subdued by & just can't seem to break away from. Very brilliant song writing by Dark Lord & Glover, just such a sly subtle twist that most listeners miss. Okay all but myself doesn't get it until it's pointed out. Blackmore is a dark occultist witch, & much of his music writing , & guitar solos are an active part of the lyrical narrative , & helps tell the story. Much of his soloing in DP is just that. But in Rainbow it is very important & powerful, & imperative to the to the whole, the full spectrum of the Complete song. Almost magical, as that's why he made this band & named it Rainbow-- which is a deep occultic meaning, & is 1 of the divisions w/in the MK-Ultra Mind Control Programs. He even switch singers purposely so 25 years later people are arguing & become angry, insulting, & ultimately Divided. Blackmore is down w/the Devil, & is a high ranking witch in the occult world. He purposely left DP & was lead by other worldly consultants to form this band and every move he made w/in this band was planned & scripted! The only personal item recovered from the Challenger reckage was the astronaut school teacher's CD of...y'all won't believe this shit, the CD cover of Down To Earth! Yeah, ain't that some shit? Very chilling. According to Die, & Turner, Blackmore controls one of the oldest demons of all time-- Azazal(Azazil). Yes the same demon featured in the movie Fallen. He is worth $300 million dollars. Jimmy, Eric, Jeff, Keith Richards, Lindsey Buckingham, none of them guys are that rich! His handlers took care of him,,& he did what he did for the dark cause. And as a last offering to them, & a tribute to his real boss, Satan, he made 1 last record honoring evilness. Songs like Hunting Humans, Black Masquerade, Too Late For Tears are odes to darkness. And Ariel is one of the original fallen angels that plays the role of Satan at one time are another. He is also a Necromancer, & regularly communes w/ long dead, very evil people from ancient history. There is always something else going on. Everything has another side, a deeper meaning, & that's just a little info on real darkness of Blackmore....damn it I love that dark. Evil, occultic Maddafacca! Thee greatest, most talented guitar player of the all! And damn, but ain't he cool?!!! Hope you had fun with this & were entertained. Out.
"Blackmore is a dark occultist witch". No black magic here, he is into white magic
Great record
pure gold
ritchie blackmore
классика не ржавеет
I lisen this album only for Bonnet..
Whole album fits perfect with the bonnets vocals...
Sung by Hideki Saijo(1955-2018), a Japanese pop rock super idol and an actor.

I know you're supposed to prefer the Dio albums as a true Rainbow fan, and I'm as true as they come, heard every album to death, but Down to Earth is my favorite album. Since you Been Gone is an atrocity, and All Night Long is meh, but the rest of the album is a brilliant, a masterpiece. Lost in Hollywood, Eyes of the World etc, just great.
Since You Been Gone and All Night Long are brilliant.
Glaham's rost in follywood is the best!
🌈 Lin up: Blackmore - Powell - Airey - Glover - And Bonnet 👏👏👏
Yep...Best line up Imho...!!!!!
The two jewels here, are this song and Eyes Of The World.
perfet Rock sound best of best
I have been in love with this song since June 1982 when I first heard it!:))
So raw...So good
First class song.Bonnet can sing.
thumbs up to mireille
Ese bajo es perfecto!!!!
Graham Bonnet es un buen cantante, este es un buen disco, pero DIO es a rainbow como Ian gillan es a deep purple
Cuestión de gustos,a mi me gusta más Graham como vocalista en Rainbow.
I can't believe I never heard of this band until recently. Bonnet kills it.
Where have u been Thomas??
@David Topchiev Lost somewhere besides Hollywood.
OMG David, tell me this is not true...take Rainbow Rising, masterpeace
When you talk about Heavy Metal Drummers, there is Cozy Powell, then there's everyone else. His power and speed hit you like a punch in the gut. Cozy Powell, there is no substitute.
Joerg Michael; by far the greatest combination of power, precision, and speed of all time listen to mid-era Stratovarius, he just obliterates the drum kit and he has come up with some of the most influential drum beats of all time. Rainbow as a band though was ahead of their time.
It's his sound for me, the playing is amazing but he ALWAYS sounded ahead of his time. The drum SOUNDS on Rainbow Rising, Slide it In and Emerson Lake and Powell in particular - just insanely great
@Caveman His playing and sound (the great Martin Birch) on Rainbow Raising and Long Live Rock n Roll was tops for me. .
@Ed Berger not even in his wildest dreams
@Alex Zoris Yr the one that's dreaming!
They don't do rock like this any more...................these tracks bring memories of good times
Six words, my friend, "New Wave Of Traditional Heavy Metal"... No, I don't mean New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, nor New Wave Of American Heavy Metal.
Adrian Struys It's not that they 'don't rock like this anymore' it is that THEY CANNOT ROCK LIKE THIS ANYMORE!
This is Rainbow for the unbelievers
Taunt Progressiv. Are there any unbelievers? If so, they are Uncivilized Heathens. Rainbow: There is no Substitute.
Isn't this the period when Ritchie was busy firing, Hiring, composing, spreading his Genius.....Clapton and Page were laying there with needles sticking out of their arms?
A great song off a fantastic album
Lost in hollywood is a great song...
Rainbow is becoming my favorite band
Neta me lo juras?
ชอบมากๆ
It is PERFECT !
So much better than Pouf Lynn Turner
Actually sounds like an English rock band and not Foreigner.
Why would they sound english? They were an american band
@MajsteR I'll think that they are pretty British..!!!
@svogender Well, every person in that line up was english, but that does not mean that it's a british band. Rainbow was formed from Elf. Only difference was Ritchie, which means that it was a band formed in USA and with 4 out of 5 american members.
@MajsteR Yeah ok...What ever....Rainbow was a great band....British or not..!! 😊
@svogender That we can agree on
superrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.......
this rock singing at its best
Dio is god... but Graham really rocks on this album!
daisuki~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~lost in hollywood!
I used to think Ronnie was the best Rainbow singer. Then this came out.
I disagree completely but I respect your opinion.
Why don't you guys focus on the music? there are tastes for everyone.
Who's the best at what? There will always be people doing things in a different way but if you like rock you've still been on the fast track and haven't listened to Dio properly.
Word of advice. Listen to Deep Purple, then Rainbow, Whitesnake, Dio and Blacksabath with Dio. Then write again.
DIO IS THE BEST!!!
I'm as biggest Dio fan as they get, but in Rainbow I like more with Bonnet and JLT. My favorite Dio song ever from any band he was in is Temple Of The King!! Outside of Rainbow I love Black Sabbath more with Dio, and I love his solo career a lot. And like someone mentioned before that he respects your comment and I do also! I'm more of a Rainbow fan with JLT but that's just my opinion.
They both are not to compare, though I wish this song was performed by Dio, but each to his own style
Одна из самых любимых композиций Rainbow на протяжении многих лет! Браво!
из альбома 1979 года
в этом смысле ричи красвчик умел побирать группу
Tää o hyvä..☆★→★
Bonnet kicks asses!!
かっこよすぎ
