Rainbow - Danger Zone Lyrics

Shaking off the tresholds of a long forgotten dream
And you just can't make it last
Coaching paradise on a personal line
But you get fired to fast
And you lie, memories drifting by

Love don't make it on those pin-striped nights
When you're looking through someone's disguise
You can't make it alone, so you gotta make a move
But you're looking at nobody's eyes
Well that's love, or maybe love come and go

Looking for love is a danger zone
Love don't go begging in the danger zone
You won't get nothing from the danger zone

Tales that you tell from the stories that you'll hear
And you'll get what you can while you may
Don't understand when you're looking for a dame
But it's only a heartbreak away
And you'll learn, faking has no return

No way when you're feeling that way
Will your feet get caught up in the crowd
And the song that you sing is too soft to be heard
But your speakers are way too loud
Like the pain, loving is no big game

Looking for love is a danger zone
No don't go living in the danger zone
You won't get nothing from the danger zone
Don't take no chances in the danger zone
Love don't go begging in the danger zone

No don't go living in the danger zone
You won't get nothing from the danger zone
Don't take no chances in the danger zone
Love don't go begging in the danger zone

Got this album on vinyl back in 1980. Always loved it despite not really being into metal. I do, however like good music and this album is that. Graham Bonnet does a great job on every track.

This is gerham bonnet on the lead vocal!

    His vocals are unparralled

Although I am not into Ritche as a performer but as a songwriter and producer he is very versatile, he can write any song that fits perfectly into any vocal character, be it Dio, Turner or Bonnett, even Candice Night.

    A.... S....

But Dio used to write the songs along with him

To Me...Ritchie Not only OutComposes everyone in this genre, but Outperforms them as well. The man is a pioneer and has composed the most Famous Riff of all not to mention some of the greatest Riffs and Guitar Leads in history. His Solo's are/were groundbreaking for the time and are still Amazing today. Page has been quoted.."when it comes to Solo's I can't even touch Him"! His Live ability to improvise on stage is unreal. And no one looks or moves like him either as a showman! As far as ur point about versatility to work around different singers and suit their Styles of singing...yes, he was able to accommodate them and he did it well. But so did Schenker and Iommi !!

That bass and drum groove , GLOVER and POWELL

    Unreal....it's always on my mind!

I can only appreciate Down To Earth if I pretend that it's a different band with the same name. It's decent for what it is but it's a sorry decline after the glories of the Dio era.
Graham was good for belting and Joe was good for ballads but Ronnie was great for both.

    E.... C....

It's Not a Decline after anything! It's called evolution. It's something perhaps people like u R Not used to since most bands in this Genre of music aren't gifted enough to Evolve and are still playing the same Shit. U may prefer Dio Era and that's fine. But musically and technically speaking, this album is superior in every way. Even the guitar work is way better,!

    E.... C....

It's a toss up between thus album and Rising as to which is Rainbow's best.

    E.... C....

But..why gerham bonnet...was only in one album?

  10. M.... K....

Excellent;it's got a little sprinkle of zeppelin sound.

    M.... K....

Why some of you are always comparing every band with Zeppelin? Please just enjoy the music

  11. P.... J....

Ridiculously low number of views for a great track

  12. C.... M....

The best song on this album next to " Eyes of the world" personally I believe it to be Ritchie Blackmore's last statement as a guitar hero, he focused on getting more commercial after this, some say this was their first commercial album I disagree , anyway it's just as good as the stuff with Dio , Lost in Hollywood showcases Ritchie's superb guitar solos that in that time would even make Eddie Van Halen's head turn

    C.... M....

I always said I could live with Down To Earth as the only piece of music given no other choice.....it's work of Art!!

    C.... M....

Entriely agree with you there. I like the heavy blues of Love's No Freind too. This was my first ever LP. Bought it with me pocket money! I was 9! LOL!

    C.... M....

Honey, there's no such a thing like a bad song in this album

    C.... M....

    @Sonya Belmont Farenheght you're right

Are those really the lyrics? I pride myself on being able to understand lyrics...BUT, this Is one of my All Time Favorites. And for the life of me, I could not translate. Great album, great song, Graham Bonnet sings really fine. But I just cant get the lyrics.

    A.... L....

Some lyrics make more sense than others. But really,. Lyrics in this genre? I never paid any attention to them! WTF is "Stairway" about? I mean,. If it's "War Pigs" or something profound...ok. but this is a pop Song. And it Rocks. That's all I care about.

    A.... L....

Rainbow lyrics were and still are important, unlike the Beatles and other bands Rainbow's lyrics always made sense, Ritchie Blackmore is also a very lyrical guitarist, that fast riff he does before the solo is one hell of a statement

    A.... L....

@Chris Manzi perhaps the Lyrics from Dio Era were somewhat meaningful.... although at times I just couldn't grasp Wtf He was Singing about either! But to pick on This Song for lack of Deep lyrical content is just Stupid. It's a fun song...well composed. That's it! I'd like (Arthur) to give US an example of a Heavy Rock Song with profound lyrics??

    A.... L....

Arthur+ What ROCK Lyrics do u get??

    A.... L....

@David Topchiev I was brought up with classical music. No lyrics...does that mean it's Not expressive? Ok, Opera has those screaming fat Bimbos and Guidos but most of the audience is Not Italian and can't understand One word! Does that mean they don't enjoy the wonderful Music and elaborate costumes and pathetic Overacting? Rock is pop no matter how u see it. Put on the radio and listen to the majority of lyrics. It's all about someone's Ex Fucking someone Else. Journey and Foreigner we're most pathetic!? I remember taking a music course in college. A black chick asked the professor..."but how can we listen to music without singing"? I laughed out so hard. I guess Michael Jacksons lyrics were quite profound. Then and there I should have realized what a Dumbass country this was. Your Government, FAUX News, CollusionNewsNetwork and MSNBC(whatever the fuck that stands for)demonstrate it every day!

  14. H.... M....

One of the best album specifically for the members incredible

  15. D.... S....

You won't get nothing from the Danger Zoooooohhooon!!!!!!!

    D.... S....

This is Not a very know R.Blackmore song. And yet it has more energy and creativity than all the Crap Put together in the genre,! And that Short guitar Solo with only a hand full of Notes Buries every guitar player put together!!

  16. M.... ....
