I lived away from home in a different country for a couple months last year when I was 19 (I worked at a veterinary clinic for my study) I lived alone and had the time of my life with the friends I made there. When I came back home I had a burn out and I struggle up until now. This song just describes it perfectly. I can't get out of bed in the mornings and I'm missing hours. It's cloudy in my head all the time but I'm doing better and better. Now I'm listening to this song and it just sparks the hope I have again. Welcome home has been my favorite ever since I was younger, it still is, I can listen to it everyday without getting tired and still get the feeling that I had when I first heard it but oh my God this one might be my new favorite song

hey, it's a pretty spectacular rarity for me to comment on youtube videos and i mean, this'll probably be buried anyway but i thought i'd say thank you to ben and everyone who's supported him. these songs really mean something special to me, and i know this one will, too, because it came out at a time where i need it the most.
i'm currently in a toxic home situation, trying to find ways to cope with my family and past trauma, hoping to be able to move out soon. depression and other mental issues leave me unable to function properly, but radical face reminds me of some of the best times in my life. i don't know how to word how thankful i am for ben's work, and i hope to be able to enjoy it as much as i have in the future.
my favourite song of all time is the track "always gold", followed by "we're on our way". this one hits a close third, i think. i had an exceptionally bad night last night, and the lyrics really speak to me right now. it gives me hope that the future is better than i imagine it at the moment.
i know this comment seems very formal, i really just don't know how to walk that line between too uptight and too personal. i just wanted to express how grateful i am for ben and his music's presence in my life. like someone else in this comment section said, it feels like a home that i never had.
