Now that QR are just Wilton and Jackson I’m done. Rockenfield is addicted to fentalyn, Tate will never lose his self importance streak and De Garmo is giving all of them a wide berth. A sad demise of a once truly great band

I personally think "The Verdict" is a very good album.

This doesn't sound like QR or at least the QR I was used to. I still say Sweet Oblivion tops this.

I love Queensryche but this is no longer them. They should've changed their name. Maybe it would've been more digestible to me. Anyhow, I'm sure I'll give the last three records a spin every now and again.

@Simply LW97. UTTP I was referring to the band in general, at least how they used to be. I haven't followed them for some time. I know the last concert of theirs that I saw, when they fired up the videos they used for the background, I thought I was a a Democrat convention, lol. It was all about how the Republicans were a bunch of big meanies.

@l337pwnage I bought The Verdict after I read all the strong reviews on it and it honestly disappointed me. Musically to weak and even though the lyrics first looked pretty anarchistic, they were filled up with too much propaganda... duh

We have to face reality: Geoff Tate is past! Even because, Todd is younger than Geoff and is currently in a better condition to sing Queensryche songs.

It could be worse; at least they aren't doing similar songs like Hear In The Now Frontier. I bought that back in the day, excited, and when I heard it, thought i had picked up some weird alternative band by mistake. But, nope. It took me a handful of years before I trusted them again to buy a CD.
For me, as long as there is similar energy as their earlier works, I'm okay. As I did with Sabbath; Would i still like this song if their name wasn't Black Sabbath? For me, same applies to any band who replaces members, for whatever reason.
This is actually better than I expected. I haven't kept up with them.
