Queensryche is the Lazarus of the 21st Century....back from the dead. Plus attitude.

All thoughts and opinions are valid. We all love different things and for different reasons. No reason to ever be combative about music and art.

Having said that....I have been with Queensryche since the original EP was released way back in 1983 and I just love what Todd has brought to the band and believe that "Condition Human" and "The Verdict" are just as valid as anything Queensryche has ever done. They are tight, heavy, progressive but still current and most of all still sound like Queensryche.

Comparisons are always going to happen and I love what Geoff Tate brought to the band. It was exceptional and will always be a massive part of my musical history and since my favorite album is "Rage For Order" I still listen to that era of the band on a regular basis. But as I said..the last two albums are being played along side "RFO" and the other early "Ryche" classics.

The new singer is an extension of Geoff Tate. Love his voice. That whole Ronnie James Dio style of singing is just outstanding. I met Geoff years ago on a photo shoot and surprisingly he was nothing like the hard metal sound he projects. He was eloquent and intellectual and seemed more of a family man than a hard rock singer. Very pleasant to converse with. I didn't take pictures with the band because it was what everyone was doing and I could see it was boring them. The Levant song is fantastic I only hope Geoff will unite for a concert to end the war in Syria and elsewhere. He holds a lot of goodwill in the world and It would be an effective peace gesture. A global livecast like they did in the 90's would really work.

Been a Rych fan since Warning 84 and all the way thru American Soldier a great album imo. Trying but still not feeling the vocalist style. Too much like Geoff!! I get that's their signature sound but that was a long time ago. Maybe do a set of old tunes then break out into new if poss..? Time to move on guys!
