Queens Of The Stone Age - Avon Lyrics
I see you go
Through a park in a haze
I don't listen
For traffic going the same way
A simple system
I cut 'em down
Dare I say
A perfect vision
Some simple ways to let you know
Free range humans all cooped up
Naked clone is playing lame
I string 'em up
I cut 'em down
Dare I say

Dude fuck these ads. Kills the momentum.
Best QOTSA song, best QOTSA album. Best album in existence thus far. I can enter the void happy knowing this music graced my fleeting sentience.
The drums at the start sound like Nirvana's Endless/nameless.

Eu vi você ir
I seen you go
Através de um parque em uma névoa
Through a park in a haze
E eu não escuto
And I don't listen
Para tráfego seguindo o mesmo caminho
For traffic going the same way

I wish they kept this style, lost favor for them after Rated R
@Akina Speed Star lol, I mean Rated R was great, and some parts of SFTD were too, but it wasn't the same grungy and harder sound as here. They became way too poppy as the years went on..
@RCG Tower was that the last album they did?
@Akina Speed Star No they still make albums till this day,
songs for the deaf was amazing i thought. i honestly think era vulgaris was too. that big 4 is almost all you need
lol bullshit. all albums are genious. thats the point that every album is different on its own.
It's a punk rock song covered in squirtation and grinding conveyor belts run by a laaaady
Swear to god that riff is my favorite fucking riff in music history
If you guys are looking for some new (or old) tunes, be sure to check out my playlist, "Gen X Mix"; it has all the good stuff, including QOTSA. :)
Micro Hard I like you my guy

The hard ...the heavy
man that was a great set
Such a great CD. Wished they did a 20th anniversary reissue
This ain't your Dad's heavy metal, it's weirder, and it is better.
me neither
@GodNotAvailable a heavier voice, Josh's voice rides the wave
SuRIKE That's true, but I think the guitars make a difference too. Black Sabbath's Master of Reality doesn't have the heaviest vocals, but the riffs are so dark that you almost want to consider it metal.
@GodNotAvailable yh rock can be easily distinguished from metal in most cases due to metal guitar being "thicker" or with more gain, Qotsa mixes it up, like it Quick and to the Pointless, Nick's vocals gibe it a more metal feel
the breakdown at the 1:00 sounds metal
My ass aches and yerns to be soothed
no comments, damn. My opportunity arises. First.
