La primera vez que escuché este tema no pude evitar llorar, más que nada por la letra...

I am convinced that Freddie wrote this song for Jim Hutton; he called Jim "his niche" in an interview and Bijou can also mean "niche" ; also in Jim's book , he tells an anecdote where Fred and he were watching a romantic film together and Freddie asked Jim "will you and I spend the rest of our lives together" just as the heroine in the film. asks her lover. Jim said "of course we will". I think Freddie wrote those words into this song. So incredibly sad.

Of course he wrote it for Jim. Unfortunately whole army of Freddie's new fans (and Bohemian Rhapsody the movie) are convinced that every love song that Freddie wrote was dedicated to Mary Austin. Really?

@Jan Slowhand yes, bugs me no end. If Freddie wanted to spend his life with Mary he would have. Why would he move on with various other people searching for love until he met Jim.

Nina He didn’t love her in a sexual way, he loved her in a personal way. He even said that if things had turned out differently, they would have been married anyway which is why he left almost everything to her. He truly did love her

@Keston Decker I agree that he did love her in a platonic way all his life; I am referring to all the recent Queen fans who have been convinced by the recent film that he pined away his life longing for her. It makes no sense when you look at the evidence of Freddie's very real life. He trusted her the most and there was a lot of guilt mixed in his loving trust for her, given he proposed to her and then backed off. But that is it. His romantic relationships were with men. and in the end he settled down with Jim and was quite content in his relationship as per his interviews with David Wigg from late 1985 onwards till he died.
