Punch Brothers - Soon Or Never Lyrics
If ever I have seen the sunrise and known it's time for bed
If ever I have breathed in deeply
And felt like I was dead
And felt like I was dead
Then I have not been
If ever I have seen your lips move and known you couldn't say
The words I think could make me love you
And heard them anyway
And heard them anyway
Then I have not been
I have not been in love
I rise as the sun goes down and I pray my true love and I find a way to each other soon or never

Punch Brothers Soon Or Never Comments
My favorite songs are ones like this one where it's simple the whole time but a different melody comes in at the very end with more energy, but it's short. It's so specific so it's hard to believe it's a "type" of song but in my mind it is. There's only 2 or 3 other songs I've heard that are like this and they're all really beautiful, really great songs.
If you want good song rrecommendations, here are some of the ones I was talking about:
The Story - Conan Gray

The intro to this song will be what I walk down the isle to at my wedding
This is the sound that goes through my head as the percolator comes to life every morning. This is how I start every day, and I owe a deep debt of gratitude to these men for bringing me such life, as I would not have known without them. This is the purpose for music. Amen

I've loved this song for years and am only now realizing that the narrator is very obviously a vampire
