Seeing in your eyes
Words can never say the way
Told me in your eyes
Final in a fade
Never no more hope away
Final in a fade
Seeing in your eyes
Seeing in your eyes
Never really know
Never realize
Silence in your eyes
Silence in your eyes
Never really know
Till its gone away
Never realize
The silence in your eyes
Seen it in your eyes
Seen it in your eyes
Never no more hope away
Final in a fade
Watch her slowly die
Saw it in her eyes
Choking on a bed
Flowers rotting dead
Seen it in her eyes
Ending in a day
Silence was a way
Seeing in your eyes
Seeing in your eyes
Seeing in your eyes
I'm seeing through my eyes
Words cannot express
Words cannot express
Words cannot exp...

Love this,,nice guitar harmonics riff up and down the fretboard at the very start, lifted from early Simple minds track" Murder Story" from the very underrated guitarist Charle Burchill.

  14. M.... M....

Great songs are inspired by emotional events or experiences that happened the writer either consciously or unconsciously...like this and Yesterday by McCartney and Sing me back home by Haggard

    Beauty guitar sounds from Keith.

  24. A.... C....

I think the 'live' performance on TOTP is better to watch than this video ,but u can hear the repeating Tchaikovsky motif here.....

  25. M.... B....

    jah´s great performance...

  26. C.... E....

Only band I can recall where the drummer is the most boring personality

    C.... E....

Except they really didn't have a permanent drummer at the time, they had like 6 or something drummers during the Metal Box period, then Martin Atkins stuck around for Flowers of Romance and This Is What You Want (he also appeared on Bad Baby from Metal Box). After that there was Album which featured various session drummers (among which was Ginger Baker from Cream) and then Bruce Smith came along and he played on Happy? and 9, and then some dude called Curt Bisquera played on That What Is Not, but in that album's tour Mike Joyce from The Smiths played with PiL during the remainder of that era.

  27. G.... T....

1:18 Keith looks very uncomfortable lmao

  28. K.... S....

may not be of my taste but very creative lyrics when analysed with a deep mindset... Massive respect to him for doing this for his mum, top lad John!

  29. A.... B....

  48. A.... B....

Never seen someone in as much distress as in this video. Pure adrenaline and raw emotion driving this song.

  49. J.... E....

  56. R.... N....

    Fucking brilliant again

  57. j.... g....

this is great stuff- when the band was expanded to all the synth, percussion, etc it got to be a bit too much, but the first two albums with just drums, bass and guitar were great... this is classic, timeless stuff (y)

  58. d.... ....

    My fave PiL song

  59. e.... a....

  67. A.... D....

This isn't proper disco music, a complete mess.

    A.... D....

Andrew Drummond I don’t think it was meant to be, dear.

  68. C.... L....

I`m only 5 and I think this is the best song ever.

  69. F.... ....

He wrote this song for his mother who passed away not long before he wrote this

  70. P.... V....

Without Levine and Wobble this band would of been fuck all, proven by later releases. I rest my case.

  71. V.... U....

I've got this single with original sleeve.

  72. K.... H....

Sex Pistols were kings of punk rock. John Lydon aka Johnny Rotten.

  73. A.... H....

    Post punk or prog punk?

  74. P.... V....

https://soundcloud.com/pete-taylor-1/death-disco-public-image-limitedbung-remix my remix for death disco.

    A.... G....

This may be a weird question but Was John Lyden a fan of Jim Morrison?? 'Cause John's stage presence & body language remind me so much of Jim!

    A.... G....

mackychloe Yes! He loved the Doors. Is written on his autobiography.

  80. g.... e....

Damn the bassman is very lookalike Curt Cobain.

    g.... e....

    its jah wobble

  81. P.... S....

And then art or other means of expression may offend some people it may be the case but not the purpose it stops of being good too if it is the case. Yeah all dictators and other people close to high social positions were never interested in any form of satire comedy or laugh. A smile could be something from evil. They would come with ideas of respect god and so on to protect themselves and their privileges, by other hand fascism and hate were used many times as a machine of propaganda. Laugh Dog Laugh.

  82. P.... S....

many things are different now some for better others are not better but good music and art in general don't bring much if not done with total freedom and independence

  83. P.... S....

Good or bad it is becoming difficult to find bands with the courage and talent like them, loads looks like they are afraid of writing anything more challenging with fear of not being allowed to exist guessing but at the time bands would take risks and art could happen may be now isn't the case ...........................................................

  84. J.... M....

If you like PIL, you might like Brace for impact - indtiko

  85. G.... T....

    Gurrrd Bass ;)

  86. G.... W....

    Words are useless.

    G.... W....

    full of excuses

    G.... W....

You mean "Gods" are useless ;-)

  87. D.... G....

    just horrible damn shit

  88. M.... P....

  98. I.... m....

The late 70's / early 80's were an amazing time for music . This was a time music was mixing styles so much . Listening to this reminds me of ESG and some of the early post Disco .

    I.... m....

Au Pairs, Delta 5, Gang Of Four...

    I.... m....

    thepublic housebrandcom a

    I.... m....

I had dinner with Lesley woods.

    I.... m....

never heard of that band though

    I.... m....

Yeh from about 77 until about 1983 was a golden era of post punk, ska, new wave and new romantic gems, then once the synthetic revolution took hold music became generic and boring again by the late 80s especially once SAW got involved.

  99. P.... J....

from punk to new wave...John Lydon started it ...

    P.... J....

New wave was invented before punk rock itself by Television and Richard Hell

    P.... J....

    Joy division

    P.... J....

Um John didn't "start" either of those genres actually...

    P.... J....

@Optimistic Whovian What did he start?

    P.... J....

Lydon didn't start anything, he's just a great and charismatic musician

  100. E.... ....

This song was for the loss of his mum. Very powerful lyrics and a great tune.

    E.... ....

did it kill her listenin to it?

    E.... ....

No cos she was already dead she never heard it, she had asked John to write a disco song for her funeral, hence the title.@Rikbud1_googlemail/moc My addy

    E.... ....

She did hear it and loved it, words from the horse's mouth.
