people have a funny way of looking at the context of the line proper

"be as white as you want to" is followed up with a bunch of "be as (skin color) as you want to" statements, thus making the whole thing acceptable since it's actually about promoting racial harmony.

"it's okay to be white," removing for a second the fact that it was a false flag by /pol/ to show "how stupid the liberals are," isn't followed up by anything else, nor does it have that implied statement. it's just there - solo. there's no hidden "as well" statement like "black lives matter," but rather plays from what most people think what "black lives matter" actually means: "only black lives matter." it's a statement of supremacy disguised as concern and hope. if the "it's okay to be white" people wanted to make the statement less incendiary, they'd have other statements on the posters running concurrent with "it's okay to be white."

it's okay to be white, yes, but it's not okay to state that being white is the only normal.

This is a great video to promote understanding! Its just sometimes people want to be the wrong things. Its definitely good to understand why people want to certain things and not ostracize them but if a thing is wrong, it still should not be done. Like you cannot be as cheating as you want to or be as lying as you want to. Those are wrong. Be you can be as shy or loud as you want to. The point is you have to draw lines somewhere; you cannot be whatever you want. Great video and song though!
