Propaganda - Darkie Lyrics

[Micah Bournes:]
Pickaninny fieldhand, just another darkie
Blue black, big lip, motherland monkey
Dark skin, nappy head, always being ugly
You just another darkie, you just another darkie
When you hear 'em talking, just love 'em and keep walking
Prayed for you, brothers, the masters done brainwashed 'em
Say it loud for 'em, ignoring all of the mocking
You just another darkie, you just another darkie

[Propaganda:]
I used to wish I was Puerto-Rican
'Cause that type of black was different
They had curly hair and accents
And I would be called exotic
I would lie and say I'm half-something
Mixed with this and that of sorts
Anything to not just be a fieldhand descendent
I knew black meant I was beautiful
X Clan done taught me that much
That ain't stop the black folks, black jokes at lunch
I had Shaka Zulu, Nefertiti, Tutankhamun posters
Hanging on my walls to ease the pain of them boulders
Thrown 'em, so ashamed I got the round nose of a king
I'm from the most mimicked culture but that ain't do a thing for my self-image
Subjected to a standard I could never meet
Genetics don't let blue eyes ever come with black feet
Culture say that black feet don't belong on skateboards
They should stay on reservations; Mama Winnie came for 'em
Black people self-police "you sound white when you speak"
Why you're hair so nappy? You was just another darkie

[Micah Bournes:]
Fat lip, wide nose (you just another darkie)
Looking like some burnt toast (you just another darkie)
Nappy headed, so gross (you just another darkie)
Master got 'em so fooled (you just another darkie)
Some people still blind (you just another darkie)
Hating on they own kind (you just another darkie)
Put your fist in the sky
And don't pay 'em no mind (you just another darkie)

Man, why should I care at all
When you burn your own city hall?
And your daughter want a white doll
Man, y'all don't even like y'all

[Jackie Hill-Perry:]
I remember they told me I would look better if I was lighter
Get wedded on the island with the dress to match my silence
Tell your melanin be quiet, it's too loud to match the culture
The vultures of the media, Wikipedia wrote the posters
Who you mailin' to? Who you selling to?
Is your cerebellum bailing you out?
Or is you jailed by the mouth that told you failin' to not be yourself?
I know I believed it, I know I repeated what was me sleeping
Killing my dreams, maybe if I was thicker my skin wouldn't make a scene
Such a protagonist activist for a massive king
They treat him like the villain yet they don't want what master schemes
Living like immigrants yet they don't want the master's things
Who's a slave? Who's the one to blame for the nappyness, the averages?
Love over hate is the fraction with the happiest
Mathematicians adding the blackness African applicants
The night embedded, I don't regret it, the blackest skin

[Micah Bournes:]
Fat lip, wide nose (you just another darkie)
Looking like some burnt toast (you just another darkie)
Nappy headed, so gross (you just another darkie)
Master got 'em so fooled (you just another darkie)
Some people still blind (you just another darkie)
Hating on they own kind (you just another darkie)
Put your fist in the sky
And don't pay 'em no mind (you just another darkie)

Man, why should I care at all
When you burn your own city whole?
And your daughter want a white doll
Man, y'all don't even like y'all

I love your music, but I hate the underlying Marxist ideology. You can disguise Marxism with Christianity, but the Marxists want to get rid of Christianity. One must only look at the purges of Christians under Communist rule (the Soviet Union, for instance).

SO, is it just me being from the south, can't be Trip's originally from Texas, maybe the bible belt isn't as faithful and transparent as being from Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, or Tennessee, yes i left out North Carolina, because they were one of the first states to agree with the bi-gender bathrooms. I used to hear songs about Telling the World, Playing the Background, Seeing the Light, Trying Me about my Faith in this world, and Not being a Robot to the flowing river of this Godforsaken world. Now so called "Christian" rappers of the modern era, are just throwing a bunch of Exactly this guys name, a bunch of big propagandal, yes i just made up a word, words in albums throwing God and Jesus name into maybe 5 songs off a 13-15 track album, and allowing it to be what it is, a money gimmick. Flame, Lecrae, Trip Lee, etc, used to be faithful followers of the Jesus that I serve, not saying that they don't/ cant still put on a good sermon, but I mean c'mon man, I've heard Trips story on several occasions, he got saved at 14 years old, its easy to carry your sermons from the first 5 years after you got saved with you for life. Look, I don't mean to criticize, but Trip Lee was my favorite Rapper up to about a year and a half or so ago then I heard a song of a mix tape where he glorified how rich he is, same with Lecrae, when he came out with Church Clothes, I loved the song until I kept trying to glorify the song and the spirit told me, it was criticizing people with my color skin for "despising" black folks. Yes, I am a white man, but just because I'm whit does not mean that I should have to listen to some "Hillbilly," Trace Adkins song, I grew up on and off the streets too, suffered from drug addiction, seen friends and family die from drug OD's, and yeah I get it, being from South Carolina, you don't really see an area like Chiraq, but some people come from those deep dark places from other parts of the country. All I'm trying to get across is a lot of you, whether or not you want to be called Christian, or just rappers, you need to take a vacay, grab your bible, and even throw on an old Lecrea album, like Gravity, or one of Flames Albums like Captured, or The 6th, and again not trying to glorify them, I feel as though they've gone astray too. You rappers/ Christian rappers need to get back to doing God's work, instead of doing the Devil's Persecute the other race routine. Get your bible and go to Matthew chapter 7 and read through to verse 6 where it describes people like this guy as being dogs for judging not for righteousness sake, Jesus got beat, bruised, scared, and nailed to a cross, yet he loved the sinners who did it to him. You got it twisted man, what Crooked is, is seeking out another race through your so called Music when you ought to be loving your your Father God in Heaven, Lord Jesus for saving both our sorry tales, and ministering to the lost rather than stirring up a gun slinging race war.

Why do you think police weren't shown? How does the dance relate? Honest questions from an inquirer.

    .... ....

The dude is defeated, cuffed on the ground. But in his mind and heart he's free. Dancing is something a black man isn't supposed to do. Not that kind of dancing at least. So his dancing isn't just an act of rebellion against his detainment, but against all of the voices that tell him what being a black man does or doesn't mean.

Speaking as a Tejano who sees a lot of the same thing in the brown world.

    .... ....

Rey Guevara you hit the nail on the head. That's me dancing btw
