Project 86 - MHS Lyrics

Light up the beacons
I'm sending out the signal because
Tonight your revolution ends
The lamp stand removal
Of unholy ritual for
Violence the sirens will wail

Enough
I've heard enough
Of all your promises
Your deeds have made my stomach turn
Enough
I've had enough
Of all your crusades
Your throne is swallowed by the earth

From the gallows
To the grave
From their halos the guilty will hang
From the gallows
To the grave
From their halos the guilty hang

Your secrets unearthing
Your barriers are peeling back to
Reveal your devilry
In blood runs the writing
On walls that are crumbling so
What will it take for the sheep to say

Enough
I've heard enough
Of all your promises
Your deeds have made my stomach turn
Enough
I've had enough
Of all your crusades
Your throne becomes a crater in the earth

From the gallows
To the grave
From their halos the guilty will hang
From the gallows
To the grave
From their halos the guilty hang

By your own rope you're hanging high
By your own rope you're hanging high
Hanging high!

You wear your hunger to play the oppressor
Like jewels of the crown on your head
No mercy is shown where mercy's not given
Your halo will hang you instead

From the gallows
To the grave
From their halos the guilty will hang
From the gallows
To the grave
From their halos the guilty hang

You wear your hunger to play the oppressor
Like jewels of the crown on your head
No mercy is shown where mercy's not given
From halos the guilty they will hang

  2. Tulip Olsen Singing Terribly is my Spirit Animal

    Day of the Halo, When?

  3. Paul Holmes

The fact that there are only 8,000 views is a fucking travesty.

  4. Tulip Olsen Singing Terribly is my Spirit Animal

Sounds Like What's Going on in Europe Right Now.

  5. Daiki Mizu

Ladies and Gentlemen, behold, an album that sends you shivers down your spine and has an absolute nostalgic sounds that remind you of Picket Fence Cartel, Rival Factions and also Wait For The Siren.

  6. Sledge Sadistik a.k.a Your Moms NEW boyfriend

Puts today's contemporaries to SHAAAAME- Why these guys aren't more known is beyond me- "The greatest band you aren't listening to right now" list? They would be listed as Number 1, hands down. And they are a Christian band. Blows my mind.

  7. Sledge Sadistik a.k.a Your Moms NEW boyfriend

This is incredible. Why aren't these guys don't have more views and sales is beyond me. Not saying they need it or probably want it but this puts 5FDP & other modern day contemporaries to SHAAAAME

  8. Frank Armitage

Album cover features Sheep + Wolf skull overlaid with the colors of red, white, and blue. MHS has the lyrics 'You wear your hunger to play the oppressor like jewels of the crown on your head." Definitely looks like this song is about Trump and all the sheep(wolves) who support his worldview. If I'm right, it must be sad as an artist to see comments, like the one below, about this being an anti-SJW song. Talk about sheep.

    JonsThreeCents

So basically either way they've guaranteed to piss off 1/3rd to 1/2 of their potential audience. #brilliant

    Wolverine101

It's more railing against hypocrisy in general

    Shy Guy #585

The hypocrisy in this comment alone is unbelievable

  9. Daryl Selix

SO SO SO SICK..GOOD JOB GUYS

  10. Gencoretech OFFICIAL

Really can't help the feeling that pre-chorus sounds like the opening riff of Terminal Function's "A Convivial Riddler". Anyone else get that feeling, too?
https://terminalfunction.bandcamp.com/track/the-quintessential-sequence-part-1-a-convivial-riddler for reference, can't find it on youtube

    warbreaker88

You're correct then. I don't have a physical copy and was just going off of old information, sorry.

    David Carraway

    warbreaker88 No worries

    Suffy

Few weeks late, but Cody plays bass for them still. Pretty sure he didn't record for the album, but probably wrote some of the lines, or at the very least will be playing some of it.

    warbreaker88

NotActuallyBFG That’s good to hear, I’m glad he’s still on board since I was a big fan of The Wedding.
