So would you not call someone who is 9 ft a giant? Compared to a race of people who are of relatively small stature compared to people of today's time that would be "gigantic"

This became my anthem after a motorcycle accident nearly claimed my life shortly before it came out. My left arm was paralyzed. This got me to the gym to overcome the odds that I was given to make a 100% recovery. It's making a comeback after a really bad year. I've got Andrew Schwab calligraphed lyrics to this song hanging in my dining room about to get their own light...

Every time I hear this song now I'm reminded of the great Pastor Jack Hyles and his sermon on "What has been proven" where he talks about how David went to the king as Goliath was asking for a champion of the Israeli Army to fight him 1 on 1 to decide the battle. Goliath challenged a single man in combat and if he was killed, the Philistines would become subjects of King Saul and if Goliath killed the Israeli champion the Israelites would be the subjects of the Philistines. David was there to deliver food and rations to the army and wasn't even supposed to fight. He hears about how the challenge has been made by Goliath and none had come forth to face him. David, who was small and armed with a slingshot with his fists, a slingshot, and 5 stones he pulled out of the river went before King Saul in chapter 17 of 1 Samuel and said (and I'm paraphrasing as Pastor Hyles did) but he told the king "What's this giant over there making all that fuss about? Who is going to fight him? who will respond to the call?" and Saul had not chosen a champion and David, standing no higher than a boy of adolescence so he had to be short and he told King Saul "If nobody will go and fight him, I'll go kill that uncircumcised Philistine with these hands. I killed a lion and a bear with these two hands." King Saul was shocked at what he heard and gave David the blessing to be the champion, yet he told him first to fit himself with his armor. King Saul stood higher than all others it was said and he should have been way taller than David. As they are outfitting him with this nice armor and a heavy shield and a sword he stopped them from doing it. He said (again, I'm paraphrasing you'll have to go read the Bible for the actual dialogue) "Now King, I have never fought in a heavy suit of armor and I killed a bear with these hands, and I killed a lion with these hands. They are proven. I'm good with a slingshot, all you need to give me is my slingshot and point me where to go." Now it says in 1 Samuel that Goliath was standing at least 9 ft 9 inches, wore bronze armor, wore a bronze helmet, and a heavy spear upon his back, and a shield so heavy a man had to carry it for him at all times, and what I'd assume was a pretty giant sword. Picture this little kid coming to the battlefield with nothing but a slingshot, 5 stones, his staff, and his bare hands and the will of God on his side. Goliath said "Am I a dog? That you would come at me with sticks? Come here and I will give your flesh to the birds and wild animals."
David replied to the giant
"You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”
Goliath was insulted, charged to attack David... David dodged him and slug a rock so deep into his forehead it sank in and the giant fell to the ground face down. Then David cut the head off the giant with his own sword. Every Philistine turned and ran.

The point of the sermon is that we should know and use what is proven in battle against the enemy. If David went to attack Goliath in heavy armor and a sword that he was not trained in using... he would have been at a disadvantage and he came in with what was KNOWN AND PROVEN BEFORE! We need to get back to the word of God. It's been proven in battle against satan. We need to use the word and the power of preaching to wage war against this evil world. IT'S THE WORD OF GOD THAT BUILT THE GREATEST NATION IN THIS WORLD!

My fellow brothers and sisters, don't follow false doctrines and false teachings. READ THE WORD OF GOD!!!!!! READ IT, MEMORIZE IT! IT IS YOUR WEAPON AGAINST THE ENEMY!

I used to be a borderline satanist. I listened to plenty of satanic worship music. It was an intentional rebellion and act of hatred towards God. Believe me, this is adorable baby cooing compared to REAL devil music. People have no idea. Especially with our soft, sweet, innocent church music we have today. I am both glad and disappointed that they do not know. I am glad, because the real devil music is, well, I wanted to say "harsh." But, there really aren't words for it. I am disappointed because it leaves so much room for an error in discernment of what is and isn't. This music here is BATTLE music. But quite gentle battle music. I will stop now. Nobody asked for a lecture.

Tom Araya is a devoted Catholic and has said many times that Slayer's lyrics are mostly written by Kerry King and for the intent to shock the audience, it's just for entertainment. if ur going to read this, be warned its long and doesn't make sense if u don't read it start to finish. I would like to ask any atheist or person who is spirtural but isn't religious 4 questions.
1)hypothetically, if God (any god) were to ask u why he should let u into heaven/allow u to be reincarnated what would u say? I ask because if u have no religious leaning then we can actually use ur opinion as a baseline, as a sign of human influence in religions. Let me explain, any religious teaching that holds the same opinion as an un-influenced human heart, would mean that religious teaching stems from the human heart (and not from God). Does that make sence? So how would u answer q1?
2) did u answer Q1 with "I've been a good person" or "I've done good deeds" or something to that end? Most ppl do answer that way if there honest.
3) did u know many religions teach some form of "doing good deeds" or "being a good person" and match ur response? Islam-keep the 5 pillars, Catholism-sacraments. Basically, I'm looking for anything in religions that say "God loves because u did X". But Jesus is different. Read Ephesians 2:1-10 it uses the term "works" instead of deeds but same idea. The bible talks about good deeds, but its deeds God did for us.
4) a 4in1 question. Why is Jesus saying we can't earn our way to God by our deeds? If he answers q2 differently then u, his answer isn't human. Where did his answer come from? How would u know if u did enough good deeds, is it one good deed cancels a bad one or is it 10 good covers one bad or what? Did u know Jesus died to remove all the bad things u have done and will do, and all u got to "do" is give up and trust him. Should I do good, yes. But there's no more need to try and balance the scale with my deeds. Jesus says "to Hell with the scale, literally". Jesus didn't just die as ur example, He died as ur substitute.
