I've never understood how overlooked this song is. Such a joyous, feel good ending to a sublime album.

Lots of excellent stuff on this album, but still Exhibit A of how Prince in the 1990s was struggling to keep up with trends instead of setting them as he had done in the 80s.

What an album closer & all the vocal harmonies & beautiful horns ; the way the music stops and he sings viiiiiiiiiiiiiictoooooooooooooor at the end & everything just goes mystically atmospheric. Ommmg I forgot how amazing this was 😫& that haunting amen at the end, chills 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Bruh.. Talk about the power of music.. Before I went into the Navy I remember listening to this song a lot. When Prince said " Sometimes you gotta leave the ones you love..". That registered with me and the rest is history.
