I bought this album in 1983. I was amazed that Prince could have any woman and yet there was a woman who could make him feel insecure enough to write a song? Wow. The power of music. Prince lives forever.

THIS almost wailing, psychopathic type of scream that Prince does that starts to reveal and leak out at 2:00, seems to be the type of scream a person feels after the ever-growing and frustrating pain of feeling as though you are and have been so severely mistreated beyond your comprehension.


Listening to this awesome song for many years now has at least for me shared in what I have felt at times, captured that impaling type of hurtful moment we all have or shall have in life. At the beginning of 2:30, it depicts for me the rise of a volcanic eruption of unconstrained pressure of anger that totally says "Watch the fuck out, I have had it."


Leaving a visual of a head dropped backward with a strained face and teeth revealed as the tremors of rage shake the cheeks while drooling helplessly and non shamefully falling from the corners of the mouth in pure what I call....I CAN RELATE form. Prince...I SO miss you (as many of us do) and your pain, happiness, joy, sadness etc.. that you being a true artist has shared and connected with many of us in our own ways.
