Ok, so this is going to be embarrassing, while I was a teenager, I saw this video on MTV in a show which popped "insightful" trivia notes about the performers and the clip prodcutnio and such - during the music clip. can't remember what it was called.
As you can see around 4:57 and on after, Prince is busy (remarkably) dancing rather than playing the guitar, and so the "trivia note" stated that he does not know how to play the guitar at all(!!!).
Yep, my first encounter with fake news, so early in life.
The thing is, I could not corroborate or disproof that, and... it was on T.V... on M.T.V!! why would they lie to me?
So I ended up believing, that Prince, the Guitar grand master player - can not play the guitar at all.
