@Purple Flowers • i modify the music from the game. example: i look for the "pop" folder on the game's data on my pc and i just paste there all the songs i want to be played while my sim listens to its radio/stereo. i click on the stereo, i click "listen to pop music" and it plays the songs i put in the folder but along with the game's default pop songs (i keep 'em because i don't mind about them lol). it's like some kind of cheat for the game. 8)

I understand being concerned about the lyrics at the end in this current media environment, but they still should have released this on the 1999 remaster. All they had to do was edit out the last two minutes when he’s shouting out band members and ad libing, which is just superfluous anyway. Prince probably would have edited that part out anyway if he released it.

It’s an absolute travesty that this groove was deemed ‘offensive’ and left off the 1999 deluxe reissue!! This is one of Prince’s most well known and loved bootlegs. To have this remastered and cleaned up would have been worth the money of the disc alone!!

This track should have been included in the just-released Prince 1999 Super Deluxe Edition, rape reference and all - it's by far the BEST unreleased outtake from his 1999 studio sessions/period - the remake is OK, but slowed down, too slick, diluted - this is the potent, raw original - amazing cut!

All they had to do was lower the volume or remove the track when he's talking about rape and let the keyboards play it's not that hard it'd be considered another version of the same song it's not damaging the Integrity of it at all

💜 Exactly. It's basically the same line as in the song Lust U Always. In that song about obsession, by a mentally deranged stalker it makes sense. I can't figure out why he used it again for this song which is an upbeat dance song.
With the song Lust U Always, the R-word could be replaced with the word " Take ". It basically means the same thing in that context, but it doesn't sound as harsh.
I think they are two incredible songs that need to be heard by a wider audience, but that word may keep that from happening.💜🎸💜🎤💜🎹💜🛀

Good lord this song is just perfection isn't it? THIS is the song that hooked me on Prince so many years ago. The quality of this song is just astounding, I mean most artists don't release their demos because they just aren't good, Prince though, the best stuff he held back! Really hope we get to hear this one in all its purple pristine pleasure someday. Shame it wasn't included on 1999 Deluxe. There clearly is a specific lyric in this song that Prince would not approve of being released, and if that is what held it back from inclusion, I think most of us would be OK with that line edited out, as opposed to never having this song at all. The same can be said with Lust U Always, which shares a very similar line, but from a historical record standpoint, both of these should have been on the set and it was a missed opportunity in my humble purple opinion. That being said though, the new 1999 Super Deluxe set looks amazing in every respect, and is well beyond any expectation I could have had for it.

Michael Howe, the archivist, said that he and the Estate feel that Prince is a basically a bad person for writing his lyrics so they prefer to cheat the fans instead of respecting Prince.
