Vicki not everyone tried to get Elvis off drugs but even if they did sometimes there is just nothing anyone can do I hate it when people make assumptions that Elvis was a drug addict because he wanted to be my beautiful daughter died 10 months ago of addiction we tried so hard to help her sometimes you just can't do anything but please remember Elvis did not want to be on drugs he was an addict and until you have walked a mile in their shoes you know not of what you speak

Definitely the best version of this song. I never knew Elvis really could sing. I was distracted because he was white. Don't get me wrong I heard his songs that were main stream the one his movies highlighted. But I didn't take him serious for one I was just 9 or 10 years old plus I grew up in the 70's when the black and proud movement was peaking. Plus I was more focus on his acting, and making out with the women, and watching them in the skimpy bikinis. But now i'm 57, and realize the great songs I've missed out on. e.g. This one he's singing as well as always on my mind, and suspicious minds just to name a couple.

I take it that you are not an Elvis fan because if you really were, you would not be attacking his (Elvis') credibility or try to put the late singer down by implying that Elvis is capable of cheating his fans by faking his death, the latter which is the deluded notion held by others who have become before you.

If Elvis really had to fake his death, which he obviously didn't, then I do believe that he would not have picked an embarassing place such as his toilet - with the money he had, he could have easily made it look like he died in a private plane crash or something of the like.
