+graham bull No, it is from a recording session from May of 63 for an LP that was never released. The songs were used for singles and to fill out LP's from (1963-1968).  He recorded "Witchcraft", "Devil In Disguise", "Slowly, But Surely", "Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers", "Love Me Tonight", "Long Lonely Highway", "Echoes Of Love", "What Now, What Next, Where To", "Never Ending", "Please Don't Drag That String Around" and "Blue River"...If you never went to see the movies, how do you know they are crap????  "Jailhouse Rock", "King Creole", "Flaming Star", "Follow That Dream" and "Kid Galahad" are very good movies and he showed himself to be a good actor. His light-hearted musical-comedies are what they are and most of them are enjoyable.

Elvis didn't actually make any more rock and roll records after "Little Sister". This is pretty tame. Sounds like he phoned it in. 

+StagPreston  Yes, they are rock and roll songs, they are just softer rock songs.  Look at the top 40 charts from 1960-1963 and you will find very few hard-edged rock songs.

I agree. I thought Del Shannon was pretty authentic. And of course Roy Orbison was the real deal  on "Pretty Woman".

The "Lost Album" basically contains songs from an intended LP that never came to pass.....BUT RCA finally released it in the 1990's in a CD. Very good CD I might add!

Western Union is in some respects a "sideways" version of Return To Sender. For my money, Western Union is the better track!

It might be a simple song, but it's a great one! Elvis gave us super in depth songs in the 1970's, but these are a lot of fun too!

Been dancing with my 3 year old daughter to this one quite a bit the last several days, since she heard me start it up one night...

Not an Elvis classic, a fun song from the "lazy years". Video is well put together with some incredibly rare shots, although very few fit that time period.
Elvis remade 2 songs from that session, should have remade more, including this cut. Might have been another "Return To Sender", with a spunkier lead vocal.
