He stands out even with the camera far away. He was just perfection. He fell in love with Hawaii after this movie. Went to get away from it all and could walk outside as they left him alone. His last holiday was here in March 1977

Went here a few years ago. On the north shore of Oahu. If you go to Hawaii make sure you add this to your list of places to visit. Absolutely beautiful!

The first few minutes of the film have 3 now-vintage modes of transportation that were common in 1961:
- Elvis's red MG, which Maile drove to the airport to meet Chad.
- An "old look" GM city bus that Maile passed on the way.
- The airplane carrying Chad to HNL - a United Airlines Douglas DC-8, then new in service.

I am so blessed to have been listening to him from the beginning, watching him grow to become better and greater. I still listen to him everyday and watch some of his concerts. Not only is he the most beautiful sculptured man God created but GOD surely touched his incomparable voice he never lost right to his last day. This is the song my little Italian Mama married my Stepfather to. I always think of them when I hear this. I took Mama to Hawaii after he passed away to cheer her up. What did they play at the luau but this song and she cried and cried...I felt so bad!
