I came because I just found out that John Lennon relied on this Elvis song to compose "Run For Your Life" from the Beatles' sixth album, Rubber Soul... And although I consider myself a true Beatles fan for almost 10 years, I must confess that there are still small details that I had not noticed and that today continue to surprise me.

This is like when I learned that "Come Together" took some lines of "You Can't Catch Me" by Chuck Berry... Or when I learned that albums like "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and "Pet Sounds" were born as a product of the Beatles-Beach Boys competition for demonstrating the best creativity

NOBODY does anything like this man does. Put anyone you want in their wheelhouse, they can't even begin to shine like Elvis does in whatever year you pick out for him. That is what made him so unique and a one and only. It's hard to understand why there has only been one that has been able to perform this feat, but Elvis is alone in the extent of his talent, and then adding looks and charisma, he'll never be matched, much less surpassed.

I think this is the best song Elvis recorded at Sun. It has a certain feel about it abd is very ahead of it's time. If you would listen to teh original by Arthur Gunter it's hard to imagine this is the same song.

Especially the intro in wich Elvis does his magic Elvis thing make this version stand out from the original. Elvis had a way with songs and could make every song sound like a Elvis song.
