I could of sworn the cinema featured more prominently in the video or some other promotional material of the time, but I haven't seen it since release. The cinema was due to be knocked down as I remember adding to the poignancy of the song. For all the lolly/popsicle complainers. I think it's symbolic lick meaning intermission. The context is introduced at 1min40 ish. Then at 1min56 ish we have:

I have listened to thousands of albums and bands, but Prefab Sprout is one i have to keep. I would give up a hundred bands that i listen to if i had to make a choice. Their extremely underrated and special.

Was living in Tokyo when this came out, at the height of Japan's economic power, and some may say the height of Paddy's songwriting craft as well. I can't hear this without thinking of riding the subways or strolling though the crowded streets.

Awesome tune and lyrics. People think Love is what Hollywood portrays but that is using our brain which does not understand because true love is only understood by our Hearts.

Cute vid accompanying this tune. The Prefab Sprout was new to me until an Angel Warrior I met in Jan.9, 2009 sent this band my way a year ago.

This gem arrived just in time to brighten up my Snowy-rainy-ice-y day.  Nothing like music to cheer a heart and Prefab Sprout does that every tune that is played and sung.

 Why don't you share this Gem with a friend little acts of kindness go a long way in helping to soften life's bumps and hurdles.   

Thanks To a great Musical original-sounding-combinations band of great instrumentalists and vocals with lyrics of greatness too. Fantastic sound comes forth out of this Masterful Band. So happy my Angel shared this Gem of a vid with me.:-)
